Silence. That's the only thing that filled anyone's ears now a days. No communication just silence. And that was all that was needed to make Josh and Sam go crazy. Sam was always the biggest Extrovert in the group, making her the most outgoing person anyone could ever know. From Zip-lining to rock-climbing without equipment (trying to at least) she was very courageous, which is what had led her to survive the events of the fateful night, two years back.
But now she was alone. surrounded by the the silence around her, with the addition of a few occasional noises here and there, A fire in her fireplace, the water from her bathtub and sink, and sometimes her own breathing. Christmas was nearby and, let's all face the music, no one and I mean NO ONE wants to be alone on Christmas.
But Sam was just that person. She still did the occasional decorating around her house and still put up a tree just to remind herself that she still has some happiness locked deep down inside her cold, shattered heart.
It was the fifth of December, 2017 and Sam needed to go shopping. She forcefully got her ass off the bed, got into the bath, and dressed herself. Now here comes the hard part for her: Getting her ass out the door and into the snow. She kept contemplating her decision, on whether to stay inside and sulk or go outside and face the world. A few a minutes of standing at the door passed as she sucked up all the air, holding it until she opened the door. A cold breeze shot at her body as she let the air out of her mouth. It was finally free unlike her.
Sam got into her car, turned on the heat and started to drive off, She turned on the radio, Christmas songs, such as, "Let it snow" and "Carol of the bells" were playing in the background as she drove to the store, the roads filled with icy crystals and snow. Sam parked her car and sat there for a few minutes letting the music she was listening to finish. Not only did Sam like Orchestra Music, but she also loved holiday music as well.
Sam got herself out the car and walked herself in the store hearing Christmas music play in the background.
"Hello there! Have yourself a Merry Christmas!" A store worker said as Sam walked by her. This made Sam smile just a little bit. Sure it wasn't a major thing to smile about, but the fact that someone would say that, made her day just a little bit better.
"Thank you.." Sam said quietly as she smiled. The lady kept saying "Merry Christmas to people passing by. Sam continued to shop for the basic necessities to survive. Although she did see a man that looked very suspicious to her. The man looked at Sam and stared at her.
Sam acted like she didn't notice but the fact that someone was staring at her made her freak out.
"Is there a problem?!"Sam snapped her head at man catching people's attention.
"Do you remember me.. Sam..?"
The man removed his hood revealing the face of what Sam thought to be a man with a cold heart. But in reality, It was Joshua Washington
