Chapter 52

Maya's pov

I walked into the room beside kol and rebekah and I walked over to Nik.

" good evening" klaus kissed my cheek and I blushed even when I've been with him for a 100 years or more

" good evening" I smiled inches away from his lip

" you look ravishing in that dress love" he kissed me again only this time he kissed me on my lips and I didn't have ankth energy to stop. He deepened the kiss and even though we were on the banaster when nobody could see us I couldn't help thinking what if Damon and Stefan see us.

" you know we would be so much comfortable in our room" klaus smirked and I bit my lip wanting to say yes but no I need to tell my brothers

" you have no idea how much I want to but I need to tell my brothers and you need to attend a ball." I told him and we held hands to the area where the ball was being held.

Nik kissed me on the cheek and went off to some of their guests and I was about to go to my brothers but then I saw elena go to Esther trying to be as sneaky as possible. I used my hearing to see if I could hear that conversation but all I got was a pain in my ears.

" ahhh" I moaned

" if your trying to listen to my mother's conversation that's highly rude" finn said and I turned my back and finn was standing cocky.

" you? Are you serious? I should of guessed mommies boy is helping her out in her evil plot" I said sarcastically and he got angry

" have care with how you speak Esther is my mother and she is doing no evil" he lied

" please finn your talking to someone who has lies there entire life. I know a lie when I hear one" I told him

" how dare you talk about originals with no care" he hissed

" I've said a lot worse to kol... And Nik." I said

" attack my mother even once you will suffer pain worse than death" he threatened

" when originals threaten do they also spit" I joked. If my dad taught me anything its to never show your enemy your fears of fear for them.

He walked away angrily and I simply smiled.

" made quite an impression on my brother finn" elijah gave a small smile

" you were listening?" I asked worried

" yes, I am assuming that you think my mother is plotting something evil against me and my family... Just as I am" he said

" you think so too? I knew I wasn't the only one. I was trying to listen but all I got was a shock of pain in my ear" I told elijah

" sage. It is herb that keeps vampire from hearing what witches don't want you to hear" elijah told me and I nodded " I trusted elena to tell me what her and Esther have discussed"

" I trust elena right now as much as I trust Esther. She lied to me about her meeting with Esther. Why would she do that? Unless she knows it can't be good and I swear if she even touches a hair on this baby Esther's going to have a horrible death" I told him

" what baby?" Damon asked. My body froze as I managed to turn my body around to see Damon and Stefan

" yes I'd like to know what she's talking about" Stefan first looked at elijah then me.

" is everything alright over here?" Nik asked with a hint of anger in his eyes for the way my brothers were treating

" I don't know you tell me you've been acting really weird maya. You've been hanging out with the mikaelsons yet 8 months ago you couldn't stand him. Now I hear you talking about a baby now what is going on!"  Damon confronted me and I opened my mouth but then it just shut back down.

I was waiting for the two guys to say it but I knew they wanted me to say it.

" I can't say it " I muttered Nik and elijah with a tear running down my face. Nik wiped my tear and put his arm round me.

" maya is pregnant and I'm the father" Nik said

" no that's not true" Stefan took a step back

" it's true me and Nik got back together in secret 3 months ago and then a month ago I found out I was pregnant." I finally found some courage to say words

" vampire can't reproduce" Damon finally spoke

" I'm a banshi too which is a living thing and Nik is a werewolf too and that is a living thing" I told both of them

" why would you be with him? He's a monster. He will only bring pain to you and your child. Do you actually think you can raise this baby?" Stefan asked

" you can't be with him" Damon added

" it's not your choice what I do" I told both of them

" we do when your making the biggest mistake of your life. Who else knows?" Damon asked

" bonnie and elena" I told them " look I didn't tell you so you can judge me I told you so you know that in 8 months time you are both going to be uncles"

" we want nothing to do with it" Stefan hissed

They both walked away and I could hear my heart break into two. I held my tears back and nik could see I was doing it.

" I'm sorry maya" elijah apologiesed

" come here" Nik hugged me and I hugged back tight. " just say the word and I'll kill them"

I smiled at his humour although im not sure he was joking for the most part.

" can I have the honour of this dance" Nik asked and I held his hand

" you may" I smiled
