Dec crashed into his room. He hates the voice in his head. Its cruel and nasty, only telling him the things he does wrong. He wants it gone. He screamed in frustration. All he wanted was to have peace and finally be happy. Why couldn't he have that?
"Go away!" Dec screamed as he punched the wall with tears falling down his cheeks, "Please leave me alone," He sobbed, finally letting his emotions show once more. He collapsed onto the floor and just sobbed. Head in his hands and tears wetting his cheeks.
Ant stood in the doorway, saddened by the sight of his best friend. He listened to the heart breaking sobs before taking the few steps to Dec. "Oh Decky," He whispered, sitting down and taking his friend into his arms. Dec didn't even flinch at the touch, he knew who it was and he sunk into the embrace.
"Why won't he leave me alone Anth?" Dec cried, fisting Ant's shirt in his hands while his tears soaked Ant's shirt. Ant didn't care about the tears, he was far more concerned about his best friend.
"Who won't leave you alone Decs?" He asked quietly, his right hand coming up to stroke his mate's hair soothingly.
"His voice won't shut up! He keeps screaming at me!" The older Geordie sobbed, just wanting to get rid of it so he can be normal again! He just wanted to be normal again.
"Decs, whatever it is saying isn't true. I promise you, you are amazing and everybody here loves you," Ant said, brushing back his friend's sweaty hair. Dec didn't reply, just continued crying. Ant was relieved to hear that the cries seem to be quietening down.
Dec heard every word that Ant said, but he half believed it. The other half of him still believed him. It was like a vicious circle. One moment, Dec would be happy and loving life. The next, he'd be sobbing and screaming and punching everything in his sight.
He felt trapped.

Ant stayed with Dec for hours after his friends meltdown. The younger man was afraid to leave. It seemed as though Dec didn't want him to leave either. He was happy knowing his best friend was with him and was looking out for him.
"Wanna go back downstairs?" Ant asked after a long silence, "Your mam is worried about you. Alfie is scared," Ant was quiet as he spoke, not wanting to raise his voice in fear of scaring Dec.
To Ant's surprise, Dec nodded and slowly sat up straight with intention of getting up. Ant was first to his feet and held out his hand. "Come on kidda, let's go see your family,"
Dec took his hand and got up off the floor. Ant wrapped his arm around his shoulders and grinned cheekily. Dec smiled back, happy to have his best friend there with him.
He couldn't ask for a better best friend.

Hey guys. I am so sorry it's taken so long for me to update. Had a lot going on.
Work has been very stressful but I'm back. I forgot how much writing helps me to stay sane and calm.
I posted a new story last night, and I really wanted to update this one, but I couldn't find the inspiration.
But then I watched the video of Ant and Dec at the bgt auditions yesterday and I got a sudden spark of inspiration!
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this chapter. I will update again in a few days, so hope you're all ready for that!
Hope you guys have a great day/evening wherever you are. Speak to you all soon!
