"Well, well. What is this I see?"

You groaned loudly and dropped your head against the back of the couch as Tony walked into the living room with his famous smirk.
All the Avengers, including you, were lounging around since there seemed to be nothing else to do. Fury had no new missions and everyone had decided to hang out in the living room for a break.
Or, as much of a break as any of you could get.

Once Tony walked in, everyone knew the peace was gone.

"This is not acceptable. We can't have Game Night, those are specifically for Wednesday's so I have a great idea."

"We don't wanna hear it." You muttered and leaned your head on Clint's shoulder as he slowly began to drift off. Tony clapped loudly and Clint's head snapped up, knocking against yours.

"Ow!"
"Shit, sorry!"

"Since your such a Debbie Downer, Y/N, you can go first for this particular activity I have in mind."

The others began to stir as curiosity and interest broke the spell of boredom. It wasn't everyday Tony was willing to play a game-at least, not on anyone else's terms.

"You and..."he pretended to think before pointing to Steve with a mischievous smile, "Mr. America here can go first."

Steve glanced at you out of the corner of his eye before blushing and looking at the floor.

"I-I don't think that's a good idea, Tony."

Hurt prickled through your chest. It was no secret to the other Avengers that you felt a certain type of way about Steve, but he was as clueless as a lost sheep. Even when you tried to make it as obvious as you could without trying too hard, he still didn't get the hint.

So, you gave up. Being good friends with you seemed to come easier to him than trying to interpret your flirting. And you weren't about to be forced into a game with him if Tony was in charge.

"Agreed. I'm out." You jumped to your feet and began to walk to the stairs when Tony cleared his throat, obviously trying to get your attention.

"I didn't say you could leave, Y/N. JARVIS, initiate lockdown mode."

"Lockdown mode activated, sir."

Without warning, steel panels slammed over the elevator doors, sealed off the windows and even blocked the hallways, including the one at the top of the stairs.

"Come have a seat. We're about to get started." He said excitedly and you, having no other choice, sighed before going to take your previous spot next to Clint.

"We're going to play Dare. And-"
"Wait, isn't it called "Truth or Dare?" Bruce interrupted him.

"I was getting to that, Greenie. Anyways, it's exactly like Truth or Dare. Just no Truth. So, Y/N."

Your heart stuttered as he gave you a knowing look.

"Let's start, shall we? I dare you to kiss the infamous One-Armed Wonder."

Bucky looked up, shock plain on his face. You were about to argue with Tony when he gave you a sly wink and gestured a little with his head towards Steve. Out of the corner of your eye, you could see his fists clenched tightly on his thighs and his jaw locked in barely hidden anger. He was jealous.

"Tony, I-"
"You know the rules of the game, Y/N."
"Yeah, you can't back out now." Clint chimed in, noticing how red Steve was getting.

"Get it over with, Y/N. It's just a kiss." Natasha teased. The others began to shamelessly encourage you and you knew they were only doing it to piss off Steve.

Fuck it.

You walked over to the opposite couch and pointedly ignored Steve as you took the seat between them, facing your whole body towards Bucky. He tugged on his hair nervously, shooting frantic glances over your shoulder.

"Y/N, I-I, uhhh-" He stammered.
"It's just a game, Barnes. It's okay." You said gently and you just began to lean in when you were roughly yanked around to face Steve. Before you could snap at him, a pair of warm lips landed on yours, strong arms circling your waist and pulling you into his chest. You tentatively wrapped your arms around his neck and got lost in the bliss of your dream finally, finally coming true.

When you pulled away, it was because of the loud protests and jeering coming from the others. Mostly from Clint. Tony was wiggling his eyebrows at you and you couldn't help laughing at their ridiculous teasing. "I do not understand. Was she not supposed to kiss Barnes?" Thor asked with a concerned look on his face.

"I couldn't kiss my best friend's girl." Bucky admitted.
"You can kiss me." Natasha smirked as Bucky blushed a bright pink at her bold statement.

"Isn't that just lovely. Well, I think that's enough playtime for tonight, don't you all agree? JARVIS, deactivate lockdown mode." Tony stood up and stretched as the steel panels retracted into the walls.

"That's it?" Clint scoffed in disbelief.
"My main goal was to cut the sexual tension between Y/N and Cap and I congratulate myself on a job well done." He winked and sauntered out of the room, humming loudly. The others grumbled audibly before trudging off to their rooms. You noticed Natasha holding hands with Bucky as they disappeared around the corner.

"I've been meaning to do that since forever." Steve said, scratching the back of his neck.

"Well, forever took awhile." You smiled at him and snuggled into his side as he draped an arm over your shoulders. The butterflies in your stomach went crazy at his touch and your heart skipped a beat as he lightly kissed the top of your head.

"I really like you, Y/N."
"...I really like you, too, Cap."
