"come by the house sometime, and don't forget..." Mum Elaina says with a smile before bringing her lips close to my ear " to teach Chance which team runs this game" she confides silently to me.
I smiled at her before replying with a nod "Emma I will chat with you later and I will also be seeing your Mum later today" she says to Emma before kissing everyone on the cheek then getting into the car after that her driver drove off leaving us in our present positions.
"Bane, wipe that expression off your face it's not like you won't ever see her again, " Louis says shoving my shoulder lightly making me hiss in pain.
"Hey, that hurts I almost lost my hand," I say pouting while rubbing my shoulder to make an emphasis.
"I am only trying to save my godchild I don't want him turning out ugly just because of his Mom," he says trimly before placing his hand over Emma's shoulder" by the way Emma is the dramatic one among us so don't take that away from her," he says firmly gaining a hit to his stomach from Emma.
"Thanks, babe he deserved that hit," I say laughing before pulling Emma into the house with me.
"I am going to get ready for work, " I say to Emma while walking up the stairs.
Getting to my room I put necessary things into my bag before packing my hair into a proper bun leaving my face free of makeup then deciding to go with the same outfit I have on then leaving the room towards the front door.
"let me drop you off" Emma announces coming out of the kitchen with her keys swinging on her index finger stopping me on my track" don't you dare say otherwise, " she says giving me a rigid look.
I sigh in defeat knowing she won't let me leave until she is coming with me "okay, let's go" I say leaving through the front door towards her parked car.
We got in the car driving off not after telling the guys we were leaving. Since today is a Saturday I have an afternoon and evening shift in the restaurant today in which I am so happy about.
We stop as the traffic light signals red, I switch on the radio as a song seventeen by Alessia Cara plays" I love this music " I say humming while nodding my head to the tune of the music.
"yeah..." she says staring back at me with a conflicted look on her face.
"okay say what's on your mind" I urge.
"say what? " she asks feigning confusion while she nervously averts her eyes from mine.
"I know something is going on up there so say it already, " I say assuring her.
"Shiloh I want you to sincerely tell me how you feel about Chance's engagement," she says pushing some locks of hair behind her ear with an encouraging smile on her lips.
I stare at the traffic light as it turns green, Emma glance my way for a few seconds with worry before putting the engine of the car on start.
"My emotions are over the place getting me frustrated at times, " I say mildly focusing my gaze ahead" I don't know if I should hold on to my love or let go saving myself from more heartbreak," I say perplexed glancing her way.
Emma kept her gaze focus on the road with a frown on her face" I feel Chance still loves you, maybe he is just as confused just the way you are" she suggest glancing my way before looking towards the road.
Silence envelops us as she parks in the parking lot of the restaurant but we made no move to get out contemplating each other's words.
"he is engaged already I would be fighting a lost battle," I say my voice sounding conflicted.
