Farrah's POV
Jackson and I walked into the kitchen with Mankowski, his red head friend. We were eager to get to our first day of high school on time, and scout out all of the kids
"Mankowski stopped by for some bacon." Jackson informed Dj
"And to say 'hi' to my favorite mom. I'm going to meet a lot of new girls in highschool, but they will mean nothing to me." Mankowski said
"Well, I'm flattered. And uncomfortable." Dj smiled
I pat Mankowskis back and lead him to the bacon, as Lola and Ramona walked down the stairs with large smiles on their faces
"I can't believe that was our last sleepover." Lola sighed
"I can't believe your dad took that job in Fresno." Ramona said
"Can I get a group hug from my favorite family?" Lola asked
Everyone came and hugged her, but Jackson held on a little longer. Ramona glanced at me and I smirked in response, letting her know I had a plan
"Ok. Hug time is over." Lola said
"Yeah. Hug time is over, Jackson." I repeated with a small smile
His eyes went wide and he immediately let go, moving away from Lola's arms.
"Goodbye everybody." Lola said
"I'm sorry." Jackson whispered
"It's fine. I get it." I smiled
"I know you're still mad, but I'll make it up to you later." He said
"I'm not mad." I insisted, laughing at his worry
"Alright, time to go." Ramona said
"Hey. Since your BFF is gone..you can hang out with me, Farrah, and Mankowski." Jackson suggested
Mankowski walked forward with bacon shoved in his mouth, offering Ramona an awkward smile
"Yeah...I'll be with Rocki a lot, too. So, if you wanna get away from 'that' you know where to find me." I noted, pointing at the two boys
"Thanks, guys, but I'm trying out for the dance team, which I'll obviously make, which means I'll have a whole new squad of friends by lunch." Ramona insisted
"Oh! My baby girl is starting highschool." Kimmy cheered
"Aw, and so is my baby boy." Dj said, going to hug Jackson, when Mankowski hugged her instead.
"It's ok. I'm here for you." He assured her
The first few classes of the day went by fast, and lunch rolled around to keep us on our toes. Being the new kids means we have to struggle to find a place to sit.
