Same evening
Murthy mansion

The day at the college had passed by without anything big. Everyone was slowly getting used to manik and nandini not talking and all the popular group members scattered.

Preeti was in thoughts about what nandini had told her. She was confused over what to do. She would agree that when it came to adi, she had been the one who had gotten her emotions involved and hurt. Adi however had started returning her feelings lately. She wasn't even sure he loved her, what she was sure of was that she did.

Love is a blind faith of leap. Even if it didn't work out, atleast she would have tried. Given them a chance. Deciding this she went to talk to adi.

Study

Adi was the the study, working when she went in. Upon her entering adi gazed up from his files. He looked at her then spoke

Ad : is princess alright

Adi was worried about nandini, she no longer used to talk to him but he always took care of her silently. Be it he food timings, sending the driver with a spare car or anything else.

P : do you care

Preeti shouldn't have said this, when she knew that adi cared the most about nandini. The past month she had seen him worried. Whenever she won't eat food, he would take her plate and make her eat in her bedroom itself. So many nights he had been by her side, when nandini was unable to sleep. Sometimes even preeti was invited to the late night hot chocolate rezendevous.

Still this biting remark had left her mouth, perhaps because he had shown no emotion when had had come.

Ad : are u here to fight

Adi stood and walked up to her. A considerable distance between them. Like he had no idea if her intentions and he didn't want her to feel uncomfortable.

P : no, I am here to talk

Adi gestured her to go on.

P : I saw you leaving with Ruhi last night

Ad : she was tipsy and I couldn't find shraven. So I dropped her home. And there is something I want to tell you, she tried to kiss me

Preeti looked heart broken. The hurt in her eyes made adi flinch. He took another step closer and raised his hand to keep it on her shoulder

Ad : I stopped her. Look I... I had no idea she would do this

P : you had every idea. So don't lie

Ad : okay recently her actions hinted on the fact that she likes me. But I tried to tell her I didn't. She has been my friend for so long, I don't want to flat out say on her face that I am not interested and hurt her feelings

P : and you are totally fine hurting mine

Adi and preeti were very close now.

Ad : I never meant too. You were the one who was ignoring me last night. And by the time you came to me, Ruhi, she had gotten drunk and I had no choice but to take her home. I am sorry

They looked into each other's eyes. And understanding passed between them. Adi brought his lips closer to her, then he looked into her eyes, asking for permission. Preeti closes her eyes and they share a kiss.

This kiss was slow, they were treading thin ice. Yet it contained emotions.

Breaking the kiss Adi hugged her close to himself and preeti buried her face in his chest. It was a peaceful moment.
