Story:
Xiao Xiang Zi, a cloud spirit in heaven, and Chu Kong mess up the red strings of fate by accident during their brawl.
As a consequence they are sentenced to be a fated couple in the mortal realm for 7 lifetimes as a punishment for not getting along with each other. Will they agree? of course not but they can't run away. So another fight happened again in the Underworld before they passing circle of the reincarnation. Xiang Zi sneakily reincarnates after throwing the soup of oblivion so she retain her memory. Unlike Chu Kong, she retains awareness and uses it to her advantage. Thus begin their first lifetime.
In the first lifetime XXZ held the advantage. She exploit it. But in the 2nd lifetime CK got the upper hand and he use it well too. Each life times bring them closer together. Eventually they resolve the misunderstanding between them but there's bigger problem lurking in the dark which they have to solve together to save the world.
After each lifetimes, both of them back to Underworld. There'll be short parts of how they try to cheat the rule & more brawl happened in Underworld in between each arcs.
What I Like:
The story has interesting premise. It has funny parts, heart wrenching parts, and meh parts.
I like the Underworld setting & the Underworld King.
What I Don't Like:
I don't think the reason for their fighting are strong enough. I feel like it's that why because the story need to start somewhere. The character's progress passing through 7 lifetimes is what make it interesting.
Both Xiang Zi & Chu Kong are childish. They matured. But their revenge toward each other is petty imo.
