It didn't take long for Ava to catch up to Aurora, racing through the forest like a predator and it's prey. As soon as the red hair was in sight, Ava dove. Her nails dug in to Auroras wrists as she slammed their bodies to the floor, eyes a blood red.

"Tell me you're lying." She growled, ignoring the gun that was left in auroras grip. It wasn't like this bullets were meant for her.

"Why would I lie?" Aurora grinned sadistically, throwing the girl against one of the many tree trunks. The wind only knocked from her gut for a few seconds, the raw energy pulsing through her veins enough to fuel her forward.

"Because you're a crazy bitch..." Ava seethed, snapping a branch and launching it toward the crazed ex girlfriend. "...that won't leave Nik alone!"

She leapt once again toward the giggling lunatic, barely noticing the make shift stake in Auroras grasp. They fell to the floor, the brunette quickly slamming Ava to the ground with a twisted smile. Sizzling heat suddenly ruptured through the girls stomach as the wooden spire was plunged into her gut. A muffled whimper echoed through the tree line as she winced in pain, trying to suppress the agony coming from the open wound.

"Oh dear, does it hurt?" Aurora pouted, ready to twist the branch in further. Ava growled underneath the sharp touch, thrusting her body upward so the stake would pierce Auroras stomach too.

A sudden shriek bounced through the air as the 1000 year old vampire was impaled, breath shuddering out from her throat from her blatant ignorance. Ava pushed the girl off of her, launching her backward along with the stick that ripped from her skin. Blood dripping down her leg, Ava shook off the pain from the healing wound with a sour smile.

"Oh dear, does it hurt?" It took only a few seconds for Aurora to react, both girls soaked in blood and dirt, toppling through the forest like pinballs in a machine. The half formed stake was disregarded within the leaves as aurora readied to pounce, like a cat on the prowl.

"Are you mimicking me now, darling?" She hissed, veins bursting underneath her narrowed eyes with each syllable. Ava scoffed, knowing the girl wanted her riled up.

"I mean I think I already did a pretty good job at that when we sent Your brother to his never ending death." She shrugged, watching as the anger quickly bubbled in her enemy- playing right under her thumb. An ear splitting screech sounded through the branches as Aurora dove out of pure instinct.

A metallic sign sliced her stomach in half, forcing her to slow in agony, and stood on the other end was Niklaus Mikaelson- grinning sloppily at his work. The red haired vampire whined, fingertips trembling as she steadied the gun.

"Ava, love, get inside." Nik nodded for the blonde to move, as if she would simply follow his orders like one of his sired. Ava scrunched up her nose, squinting in case she could see why Nik thought she was just another stray pup.

"You heard him dear, run along. The grown ups are talking." Aurora tutted, fingers still shaking from the trigger. The look she tried to send Niklaus sent daggers to Avangaline, her heightened anger pulsing just by the longing stare.

The sound of the gun barrelled through the air as Ava darted to attack. The pain rippled through her skin before she could even acknowledge what had happened, body shuddering backward from impact. The agony of the splinters piercing her heart were enough to send her into a fit of shock, eyes rolling backward and back arched.

"I really didn't want to waste a bullet on you, that really is unfortunate." Aurora sighed, waving her gun slightly before disappearing out of sight. Klaus was scared stiff, body frozen momentarily as Ava collided with the floor. Her blood spilled against the leaves, and for a second he thought he saw her skin grey. And his heart stopped.

"Ava, sweetheart, everything's going to be okay." He mumbled, kneeling beside her quacking frame. Tears trickled down her cheek as she felt Nik ready his hand against her chest, knowing the excruciating pain she was about to endure.

"Shhhh." He lulled, as if to calm himself too before he ripped open her chest. Ava cried out viciously, her bones cracking as klaus searched for the bullet lodged within her abdomen. It felt never ending, but soon enough Nik had found the splintering wood and wiped his hand of her blood.

As her body slowly healed, Klaus gently rocked them back and forth, not only frightened of Auroras vengeful plight but also of Ava's thirst for payback.
