The Broken (Book 1: Broken series)

Last goodbyes...

I parked my bike and walked up to the door followed by Amy and mike, I know that mike doesn’t really know our parents but he loves them as family too, the fact that his next to us through this helped a lot

Amy walked up to me and held my hand, I don’t know if it’s for support for her or me, but I gladly took her hand in mine and gave her a small squeeze

I let out a big breath of air trying to calm my fast beating heart, then I proceeded to lifted my shaky hand to knock on the door

a few seconds later the door opened to reveal my brother Aiden, he looked a mess his hair is everywhere his eyes puffy and his nose is red, meaning his been crying, so its worst than I thought,  he looked at me with a weird face

"Can I help you?" I almost laughed when he said that but I couldn’t laugh I didn’t have it in me to laugh, it’s like all the joy in my body left

"Its me Aiden" his face turned into shock, he took me into a huge holding me like I would just disappear any second

"Oh I missed you so much kira" I hugged him back feeling the tears wanting to come out but held them back

He pulled out of the hug and saw Amy and he gave her a hug saying the same thing to her then he turned to mike and gave him a man hug

 My family has grown to like mike after they found out that his Amy’s mate and he has grown to trust them and love them too, then my brother looked at me

"So I guess you heard about mom and dad?" I looked at him confused

"What’s wrong with mom?" he looks at me confused

"You didn’t know about mom?" he asked

My heart sank to the bottom; it broke all over again,

“No not mom too” I said not believing it

I heard her unsteady breathing upstairs and I shoved Aiden to the side and ran in my werewolf speed upstairs

I stopped in front of the door to her bedroom not knowing what to do I slowly lifted my hand feeling 10x heavier

I slowly turned the knob to open the door then I saw her laying on the bed with a lot of blood around her and an oxygen tank beside her bed and an oxygen mask on her face and she was sweating like crazy I saw my brothers mates tending to her

"who are you?" asked Liz then I tore my gaze off my mother and looked at her I didn’t say anything because I couldn’t move any muscle in my body, only my tears were moving

"Kira?" she ran over to hug me

 She hugged me tight as Aiden did, I felt my arms move to hug her too, it went to eve then my brother Chris walked in looking at us hugging he came to give me a hug too

Nevertheless, when he hugged me I buried my face in his chest and let all the tears out, he hugged me tighter kissing the top of my head as I let all the tears of pain out

I stopped sobbing after a few minutes, but I can still feel tears run down my face I slowly got out of his hold and he held my shoulder

"Are you ok?" I nod a little

I heard someone crying I turned around to see Amy doing the same thing I did in mikes arms turned around to look at my mother laying on the bed asleep, I slowly walked over to her and held her hand

"Mom...I’m here," I said but she did not open her eyes she just laid there in pain, it showed in her face that she was in pain

"I’m sorry," I said then I start sobbing they all left the room so it was just me and my mom
