i could take the high road but i know i'm going low

I was released.

The first thing I did was eat a waffle in peace. I was immediately recognized.

I haven't seen Josh in nearly a week.

I need him here more than ever. But he's given up on me.

Everyone does.

I visited our house again, the memories of that day nearly a year and a half ago flooded my consciousness.

flashback

"Tyler!" Josh's voice called out, the house was dark and quiet, Jenna had gone out and Josh had come home, "Tyler!" He called out again.

I stared at myself in the mirror, "He's back." I whispered, Josh appeared at the door to the bathroom.

"No, Tyler, listen to me." Josh pleaded but it really was no use.

I wasn't there.

Blurryface had taken over.

The metal hammer I had in my hands collided with the mirror as I screamed, in the glass fragments I could see his reflection mocking me, his red eyes glowing.

And then I turned to Josh.

I kept hitting him. His cries didn't pierce my soul. I didn't stop.

When the paramedics arrived I was covered in blood that was not my own, Jenna had called 911.

She left me that day.

real life

The walls were still stained in blood. It was like our memories were forgotten.

Like no one cared anymore.
