"Cat got your tongue?" Chelsea asked as the people in the shop erupted in laughter. Quinn smiled in satisfaction, as a pirate set Maddie onto a chair and as if to taunt her it was the chair closest to the exit, tying her wrists behind her back. The two girls circled around Maddie like vultures. Maddie thought of ways she could get out of the situation but she couldn't think of any, it was impossible.

Suddenly, she remembered what her father had told her many times before: that things were impossible if she believed it to be.

"Maddie." Quinn cooed. "Work with me here."

Maddie remained silent, causing an exasperated sigh to escape Quinn's lips.

"Maaadddiee." Quinn said, motioning at her. "You aren't playing my game. It isn't as entertaining if you don't work with me."

Card guards appeared, hearing the distress of their princess, but Quinn raised her hand and they stayed away.

"It has taken me years to finally get where I wanted to be today. As father always says Blood, sweat, and tea, sister! That's what it takes to achieve all great and terrible things."

Father? Quinn had known this whole time?

"Oh don't look so surprised." Quinn said, waving her hand dismissively. "Mother told me ages ago. I was waiting for you to figure it out in your own, which it seems you have. Oh yes m, the King Of Hearts was saddened by mother's infidelity. But you know what happens when you disagree with her."

Quinn made a slitting motion over her throat.

"Off with his head." Quinn giggled. "It was rather entertaining to watch." Quinn stood in front of Maddie. "Darling, you used to be so much muchier you know? Now you've lost your muchiness."

Quinn sounded so riddling, it reminded Maddie of Wonderland where her father would spend hours going on about things that Maddie had learned to understand.

It was funny really.

"Come on Mads. Say something." Quinn said. "We're all mad here anyways. I'm mad. Your mad. Don't be shy."

"How do you know I'm mad?" Maddie said, finding the courage to speak.

"You must be or you wouldn't have come here." Quinn said, tapping a finger under Maddie's chin. "No one in the right mind would willingly come to the Isle. It just isn't done."

"Yeah." Chelsea said. "You don't see the Auradon snobs coming and vacationing here. Just like you won't find them going to Wonderland. They just don't understand us."

"Us?" Maddie asked, in bewilderment.

"Oh yes us." Chelsea said. "Different people. Their scared of differences. But that makes us unique. They don't understand that we aren't crazy. Our reality is just different than theirs you know?"

"Those snobs have magic at their fingertips but do they use it? No." Quinn said. "They want some magical solution to their problems but they refuse to believe in Magic. It's very stupid really. If I had that power, I wouldn't let it waste away."

"We'd use it to our advantage." Chelsea agreed, the signature Cheshire Cat smile gracing her face. "It's tragic really."

"So tragic." Quinn agreed.

"Are you two ever going to get to the point?" Uma asked. "It's so hard listening to you go on and on about nonsense when there is literally one thing you wanted to ask her."

Quinn made a tutting sound.

"Patience Uma darling." Quinn said. "I will get to the point when I get to the point."

"I'm a very busy woman, Quinn." Uma said. "I haven't got all day. Besides you are in the shop that I run for my mother so I suggest you don't try to overstay your welcome."

Quinn rolled her eyes.

"Fine Uma." Quinn lamented. "I'll get to the point...soon. Where was I? Oh yes, it's tragic. But that's not what you're here for today. I'll give you an ultimatum, and if you don't reach it, well you know the saying." Quinn made a cutting motion over her throat.

Maddie gulped and Quinn grinned.

The pitter patter of footsteps, three sets of feet, came from behind her. She heard the unsheathing of swords and the clanks of them being placed into the bin. Quinn beamed at the people behind Maddie, though Maddie had no idea who.

"Sam! Gil! Harry!" Quinn said, clapping her hands. "Glad you could join the party."

"What party?" Gil asked, biting into an apple.

"Why the party to see if dear old Maddie can fill my ultimatum." Quinn said, with glee.

"Why does the poor girl look like her heart was ripped from her chest?" Sam asked. "That's my job thank you very much."

"Yes!" Quinn said, clapping her hands. "It's Sam being her mother Sam!"

"Your still on that?" Sam asked, flipping her hair over her shoulder, earning a laugh from Quinn.

"Oh yes, I am Sam." Quinn said with a smirk. "Now give some motivational speech so I can say what I need to say."

"Or." Uma said. "Here's a thought. Maybe you can just get to the point and stop playing whatever game your playing. It's rather boring."

"Get to the point?" Quinn asked, rhetorically. "Since when did I do that, Uma?"

"Fair point." Uma said, sitting on top of a table. "Carry on."

"I am not giving some motivational speech." Sam said. "Get someone else to do that."

"You better give a speech Samantha." Quinn said, looking at Sam.

"I am not doing that, Quinn."

"Alright." Harry said, pulling Sam away from Quinn before they ripped each other's heads off. "Just get to the point Quinn."

Quinn hissed and Sam stuck her tongue out, it was hard to see the two as more than kids when they got like this.

"Ugh." Quinn said. "You are no fun. I warn you dear, Sam. If I lose my temper you lose your head."

"If I lose my temper, you won't have a beating heart." Sam retorted.

"Okay." Gil said. "Can we hear the ulti- something?"

"Why yes Gil darling." Quinn said. "I'm glad you asked so nicely, unlike some people."

"Hey!" Uma said in protest. "I can kick you out if I want to."

"And I can hook you if I want to." Harry said.

"Yes." Chelsea said. "The tension is thick. Quinn sweetie make it thicker."

"Why yes, Chelsea honey." Quinn said. "The air has surely thickened."

Quinn placed her hands on the table in front of Maddie.

"Maddie darling." Quinn said. "You have a choice, you help the VKs steal my Fairy Godmother's wand because word on the street says that's what their after. Or it's off with your head."
