"All Might" Izuku growled as he looked on the poster hanging in his room. He had the great "Luck" of meeting his now former idol earlier that day. But he left the encounter empty. "No. Without power, I don't think it is possible to become a hero" That single line played on repeat in Izuku's mind. It was the answer he had gotten from the number one hero when he asked if he could become a hero, even without a quirk. It was Izuku's dream of coming a hero ever since he was little, but life was cruel. Unlike 80 percent of the world's population, he wasn't blessed with the power known as quirks. But even so Izuku kept trying, becoming an outcast in the progress. Society shunned him, and his childhood friend became his number one bully. And now the man who used to be his idol, the number one hero and symbol of peace had crushed the last embers of his dreams.

In a fit of rage, Izuku ripped the poster of All Might off his bedroom wall. "So that is how it is. You're just like the rest of them. Just another gear in the machine made to supress everyone who doesn't fit. Everyone who is too different and too weak to defend themselves" Izuku grumbled to himself. "It's not fair!" He snapped. "There must be some way, a better way. A system where the weak aren't supressed. One that doesn't need titles such as heroes and villains. Villains are only the result of the system. Forced into crime because the government only cares about their precious heroes" Izuku rambled quite loudly.  He wasn't worried about his mother hearing him. She had been called in to work in a different city and would probably not be back before the next day.

Izuku started walking around his room, tearing down all the posters and throwing away his action figures. "You taught me one important thing All Might" Izuku said. As he ripped off the umpteenth All Might poster. "If you want to change things, you need people to listen. And if you want people to listen, you need power. So, if I want to change the entire system I need a lot of power" Izuku concluded.

Once Izuku had taken away all the merchandise, he sat down on the computer. "And if I want power, I need help" He muttered and began researching. Looking for means to transfer or give one self a quirk. The most promising result he found was one article mentioning someone gaining a quirk late due to extreme trauma. "No way I'm putting myself through that. The only other thing could be transferring the code for a quirk in the DNA, but all experiments on that has yielded no results. But if you would be able to force the entire body to adapt to the new DNA then maybe, but then you would have to isolate the quirk from someone else's DNA and insert it into your own. CRISPR should be able to do that" Izuku muttered and began making calculations to check if his idea would be possible.

"That's it!" Izuku exclaimed after hours of calculating. "It's possible. And no wonder why nobody ever tried it. Just a single experiment would go against several human rights. But progress is never achieved without sacrifice. I need someone who could support me and my required experiments. Someone who I could benefit working for" Izuku muttered and began another round of research. Eventually found someone who probably could help him. The league of villains. They had managed to gather a huge amount of followers without having done anything, meaning that someone powerful must be behind it. Izuku then noticed how late it was and went to bed.

Izuku spent most of the next day preparing for meeting Tomura Shigaraki. The apparent leader of the League of villains. That was until he overheard a news report later that day. A restaurant had been attacked by a villain and the guests were held hostage. Izuku didn't pay much attention until he realised something. That restaurant was one his mother would often go to after work. "Shit!" Izuku exclaimed and ran faster than he ever had before towards the restaurant.

Once Izuku arrived, his worst fears were confirmed. Through the windows of the restaurant he could see his mom looking at the villain in fear. Izuku was furious at the villain. He almost started running into the restaurant to kill the villain himself when something happened. "Worry not citizens. Why?" The iconic voice said. "Because I am here!" All Might exclaimed has he cam crashing through the window and punched the villain, seemingly knocking him out. At that moment Izuku dropped the anger he felt as he was relieved that his mother had survived. Inko came walking out of the doors and quickly saw her son. Meanwhile All Might was surrounded by fans and was signing autographs. In that moment, Izuku didn't care as his mom came running towards him while crying out his name in relief. However, Izuku's smile dropped as he saw something in the corner of his eye. The villain wasn't unconscious and was now lifting a gun, straight at Inko and fired. Once the shot was fired, All Might knocked out the villain properly, but it was to late. The bullet went straight through Inko's skull and she dropped dead right in front of Izuku.

Izuku could do nothing else than stare at his mom's dead body as blood leaked out of the hole in her skull. He knew he should be sad, but instead he felt empty. Like someone had taken out all of his emotions and pulled him out. "Young Midoriya" All Might weakly called out behind him. Now he started to feel something. Slowly he was filled with an emotion he had never felt to this extent. Rage. "I'm sorry." All Might said carefully. Izuku slowly turned around and looked at his former idol as frown started appearing on his face. "Sorry for what exactly?" He asked. "Crushing my dreams or killing my mother?" Izuku asked with venom in his voice "I'm sorry for not saving her" All Might replied. Izuku looked curiously at All Might for a while before his face twisted in fury and he snapped at the hero. "If you hadn't been so busy with your stupid fans and taking in all that undeserved praise, you would have noticed it in time!" Izuku yelled as tears were streaming down his face "You would see that the villain wasn't taken care off. You would have seen the gun. You could have... Mom wouldn't be-" Izuku continued as his voice hitched and fell to his knees, crying. Then, while crying, he started chuckling, then slowly evolving into a maniacal laughter. "Wasn't it enough?!" Izuku shouted through the laughter. "To crush my dreams? Or did you have to kill my mother, the only one who cared about me, just to show me how useless I am!?" Izuku asked as All Might looked on in shock as the teenager broke down in front of him. "You're no better that the rest! The entire system is rotten!" Izuku yelled as he slowly got up. "I'll destroy it all! I'll burn it all down and make a better world!" He continued and slowly turned around. He then got quiet and looked at All Might with an insane smile. "I will kill you" he said in low and threatening voice before he started running away, laughing "I will kill you, All Might!"
