Along with Wonho and Kihyun, you had a lisp. You managed to hide it better. We were at a meet and greet and we were just talking to Monbebe. Kihyun said mithake instead of mistake. So that led to the others teasing.
"Your pronunciation is as bad as mine." Kihyun says to Wonho.
Wonho prepares himself to say it. He got nervous and said that Kihyun still said mithake.
"Say sprout salad." Changkyun said to Wonho.
Wonho looked at the audience and licked his teeth. "Throut thalad."
He kneels over in laughter. I was over by Hyungwon. I had said it to myself and said it the same way he did.
"Do you have a lisp?" Hyungwon asked me.
"Thometimeth." I say.
We both laugh at how I said 'sometimes'. Hyungwon then went over to grab a mic and announced that I also had a lisp.
"Brittany here also has a lisp. She just covers it better." He said motioning towards me. "She said 'sprout salad' the same way Wonho hyung said it."
"It wouldn't have come out if we weren't talking about....it." I say.
"If we weren't talking about what?" Jooheon provokes.
I took a deep breath. "If we weren't talking about lithpsth." I laughed at myself. "That wasn't fair! It had two of the constant!" I add managing to cover the lisp.
"Why are we just now finding out about this?" Kihyun asked.
"I usually cover it. But when I see lots of s's, I mostly avoid saying the word." I answer.
"That was good." Minhyuk says. "She didn't have 'th' sound."
"How do you cover it so well?" Wonho asked.
"Practice. At school, I always got picked on for it so at home I would practice words to not get the 'th' sound. I also went to speech therapy at school." I reply. "I also went because I couldn't say words with r's."
"You shouldn't hide your lisp anymore." Shownu says.
"Now that you guys know about it I probably won't hide it as much." I reply.
I got a smile in response. For the rest of the time, I let my lisp out. It wasn't as bad as Wonho's, but it was worse than Kihyun's. There were times where it came out heavy so the guys would laugh.
