Chapter 1

Lloyd didn't appreciate the fact that he was the one to keep an eye on his own father. Heck, Garmadon kind of refused to sleep, so that kept Lloyd up all night, not that he cared about that part. He decided that he'd much rather babysit his father then deal with another nightmare. "What's in here?" Garmadon asked as he looked at a closet door

"Nothing. It's a closet." Lloyd yawned

"What about this door?"

"That's the sleeping quarters. It's where the other Ninja sleep..."

"What about you?"

"I haven't slept in a few days, but I sleep in there to..."

"Don't humans need sleep?"

"Normally, yes. But for some reason you can't keep yourself from, 'accidentally' turning off the engines while we're thousands of feet in the air."

"Just have a different Ninja keep an eye on me."

"I can't. They don't want to be near you. Though it's not the first time you've stayed on the Bounty, though you probably don't remember that because that was when you actually cared about me. And mom."

Garmadon shrugged and began to walk away "Emotions are a waste of time."

Lloyd yawned again then followed Garmadon down the hall, and saw Nya and Kai coming down from the deck. "Lloyd." Kai called

"Yeah?" Lloyd replied

"Go take a rest, Nya and I'll keep an eye on your dad."

"You guys sure?" Lloyd asked, not really wanting to go take a nap "I'm fine, plus what if he-"

"Lloyd. We all know why you're avoiding sleep. You'll be fine."

Garmadon raised an eyebrow. "Kai and I can keep an eye on four-arms. Go sleep, or do we need to get Sensei?" Nya smirked

"Fine." Lloyd replied as he turned back down the hall towards the sleeping quarters. Once he got to his bed he literally collapsed on to the mattress, and fell asleep

Lloyd sat in a small cage. He had his old black hoodie on, and Pythor wasn't far off. "No. No. No. No." Lloyd mumbled in a child's voice as he kicked the cage door. It didn't budge. "Dang it!" Pythor slithered over to the cage. Lloyd backed against the back of the cage. Ever since Pythor had captured Lloyd and shoved Garmadon into the ocean, Lloyd had been slightly terrified of snakes. Not to mention, as a child Lloyd was not only betrayed by three different types of snakes, but he was also kidnapped by all the Serpentine, though that was his fault. It still freaked him out. Pythor laughed evilly, then disappeared, along with the cage. Lloyd was now in his Ninja gi, the one he'd had on the day Morro possessed him. Suddenly ghosts flew around him, circling him like sharks hunting prey "Stop!" He yelled as Morro floated in front of him. "Please!" Lloyd shouted. Morro smirked and flew at Lloyd. "NO!" Once again, he was somewhere new. He looked around. "What now? What now brain! What're you gonna do? Remind me of Nadakhan? Maybe The Hands of Time?" Lloyd yelled

"Hey Lloyd." A familiar voice called

"Harumi." He said

"It's all your fault. It's your fault my parents died."

"That... That's not true! I-I was a kid! I couldn't've stopped The Great Devourer!" Lloyd exclaimed as Harumi threw a knife at him. "We tried! Please Harumi!"

"I don't care if you tried Lloyd. You failed Ninjago when you and your team failed to stop that giant snake." Harumi shouted as he held another dagger

"Please Harumi."

"And I can't believe you were actually gullible enough to fall for that trick I pulled." Harumi laughed "You should know, NO ONE will EVER Love you Lloyd."

Lloyd shot up in his bed. He could feel where there had been tears. He took a few breaths. "Why were you crying?" A voice asked

Lloyd yelped when he saw his father standing next to the bed. "Why... Where are Nya and Kai?"

"Kai! How do you loose track of a super freaking tall four armed guy with a freaking helmet on!?" Lloyd heard Nya yell

"Those two are boring." Garmadon mumbled

"And watching me sleep is more interesting?" Lloyd asked, still freaked out from waking up to his father standing right next to the bed

"You talk in your sleep. And you cry. I like watching people suffer."

"Greaaaaat." Lloyd muttered as he got out of bed. He glanced at his reflection in Kai's huge mirror. "Dammit. I was crying." Lloyd mumbled as he poked his head out of the door into the hall. "Kai! Nya!"

Kai poked his head around the corner down the hall "Yeah?"

"Come here. Please."

"Only weak people say please." Garmadon called out as he looked at the photos pinned up on the wall

"Oh no." Kai muttered as he and Nya walked into the sleeping quarters

"Yep. I woke up, and he was standing right next to my bed." Lloyd said flatly

"Lloyd, did you have another nightmare?" Nya asked when she saw Lloyd's face

"Yeah I did. But I'm fine."

"He was crying in his sleep." Garmadon stated

"Dad." Lloyd frowned. Garmadon didn't reply. Lloyd rolled his eyes. "Garmadon."

"What?"

"Please just stop."

Garmadon looked at Lloyd's family photo. "Who's this guy?" Garmadon asked pointing at himself

Lloyd sighed "That's you. When you were good. And cared about people." Lloyd took the photo

"It's a stupid photo."

"Actually, it's very important to me. It has been for years actually. Because up until recently you were dead!" Lloyd shouted. Garmadon stepped back a bit. Lloyd's actual anger was new to him. "You gave your life to save Ninjago from Master Chen. You made ME banish you to the Cursed Realm to stop him!" Tears of anger filled Lloyd's eyes. "The Cursed Realm was destroyed. You were dead. I'm the only living being to make it out of that realm alive!" Lloyd yelled "You were dead. I had nightmares for months after that. Heck, I still have nightmares about the weeks leading up to that! You know why? Because I was possessed by a ghost! I was forced to watch MYSELF attack my friends! When I started fighting to escape the ghost's possession, he cut me!" Lloyd pulled up the sleeve of his shirt, revealing a long scar on the underside of his arm, he hadn't told anyone about it. "He threatened to kill everyone I love, he threatened to torcher them! I couldn't do anything to stop him! After he unpossessed me, he tried to drown me! My friend who couldn't, and still can't, swim, dove into rapidly moving water to save me! So before you start talking SHIT, think about crap that might've happened. Think about what SHIT someone's gone through. Because I've been through a whole SHIT ton of crap that no one else should ever have to go through!" Lloyd angrily yelled, his eyes flashed red every so often

Garmadon stared down at Lloyd. Then he smirked "There's more Oni in you then I thought."
