Laying next to Carter as he laid in the hospital bed Jay rubbed on his bare chest. "How do you feel." she asked for the thousandth time.

Carter chuckled wrapping his arm around her. "Nothing really changed in the last two minutes."

Chuckling with him she then sighed. "Sorry, I'm nervous."

"I know, yo heart beating fast as hell against me."

"You're not nervous or scared." she asked sitting up.

He thought for a minute then stared in her eyes. "I'm scared." he finally admitted.

"Good." she kissed him. "Because I am too."

"I-We got this right." he asked in a sigh.

"Yes baybeh. That waiting room is filled with nothing but family who are praying non stop for this successful surgery."

Thinking back to when he found her journal and she talked about being pregnant it made him want to ask but he decided against it but asked anyways.

"I wanna talk about something before I go under."

"I'm listening."

"I kept hearing this dinging noise the other day so I looked around the room to find out what it is and I had found yo I'm guessing therapy journal."

She tensed up against his body panicked that he may have read it.

"You got pregnant by him.."

Jay thought back and it actually brought tears to her eyes.

"Yeah." she mumbled not wanting to talk about it.

He noticed but he wanted her to speak on it. "What happened."

"I don't want-."

"But I want you to." he interrupted.

Rolling her eyes she sat up turning her back to him.

"I found out I was pregnant and I didn't want it cause I was young but I was gonna deal with it. We ended up getting into an argument, he beat my ass, stabbed me and I lost the baby."

"Was the argument about you being pregnant."

She shook her head. "Naw, I never told him."

Not saying anything after he just watched her movements.

"Are we done with that now, need to know anything else." she asked in a tone.

"You can lose that attitude, I just wanted to know what happened."

"Okay." she replied back fast.

"Quit man-."

She interrupted him. "I'm not a man."

"Jay." he spoke in a sigh. "Chill forreal, that attitude shit ain't it, not right now."

"I hea' you." she mumbled staring at the wall.

"Can you lay back on me."

Turning to face him her eyes trailed his chest up to his face.

"Our one year anniversary coming up."

He lifted his eyebrow. "You asking me out."

She thought for a minute. "Can I do that forreal."

"What, take me out." he questioned.

"Yes." she smirked. "Drive, pick the place and pay, all of what you do when you take me out."

He bit on his lip thinking. "Damn, now I gotta find the perfect outfit."
