"OKAY, CLASS

"OKAY, CLASS. QUIET DOWN."           Mr. Simpson said, ushering the anxious grade seven to take their seats, so he could start teaching

"We don't have Ashley today, but we do have this weeks new about kids broadcast." He continued, turning on the small TV that sat on the rolling cart

"Ugh. This again." Emma complained, hating the program they played for the students

"Em, anything you wanna share?" Mr. Simpson asked, having heard her quiet complaints from the back of the class

"No, Mr. Simpson." She insisted, finally sitting down in a seat so class could begin

He nodded before he turned on the video which talked about "Squeachy kids". Baby didn't really care too much about the broadcast, and instead spent the time making little balls of paper and chucking them in JT's direction

"Remember, guys, you're here for media studies after lunch." Mr. Simpson reminded the class after the video ended.

The class of students all shot out of their chairs and collected their bags, wanting to get to lunch as fast as they possibly could.

"Em, it was just a TV show." Manny reminded the upset girl as the group headed out of class.

Emma was still complaining about the broadcast that was played. No one else worried themselves with the video as much as her, but that's just Emma being Emma.

"Those kids are very annoying." Liberty spoke, talking about the kids portrayed in the short video

"No. They're poor. They live on the streets and they wash windows. They're living." Emma argued, annoyed by Liberty's cold view of the situation

"My father says, that if one more of those kids tries to dirty up his window, he'll call the mayor. He knows the mayor." Liberty bragged, before walking off.

"Listen, Emma. I know what they said about those kids is terrible, but did you know the only reason we watch those videos is so we can get computers." The Roberts girl began, garnering the girl's attention, "It might not seem like a big deal, but those computers are important to kids who don't have computers at home to do homework on. Just remember that."

The tall girl watched Baby Roberts walk away from her, thinking over everything she had just heard.

The Roberts girl knew her tall friend would probably still say something to a teacher or Mr. Racitch about it, but they probably couldn't do anything to change it.

The school needs the computers to help its students, and while the students might not agree with everything they play, they had no control of it

THE TRIO OF GIRLS WERE GOSSIPING Gossiping about the small amount of social information they knew as grade sevens. Their peaceful lunch soon interrupted by the presence of their two guy friends.
