Chapter 9

"Who even are you, and how do you know my name?"

"Name's Kami."

"Now to my other question." She started to stand up.

"I'm basically omnipotent.."

She stared. "Oh, right.. you're her."

I just looked at her. "Thanks." I said sarcastically.

"What are you doing here anyway."

"Heading home?"

"Well, uhh... can I talk to you for a moment?"

"Sure?"

I walked off with Amber, Ruby following behind.

"Who's the blonde?" Ruby remarked.

"Amber, she's my best friend."

Ruby then catches up to walk on the other side of me.

"So what did you wanna talk about?"

"EMBER.."

I glared at her. "What about them."

If she doesn't keep her damn mouth shut, they'll hear her...

"I hear they're back, but they're hiding from you."

"Ehhhh." I said.

"What?"

"I would say they're hiding, but more like keeping their distance to prevent me from killing them again."

"How do you know?"

"They told me, well, their little minions did at least."

"Huh?"

"They're spying on me."

"And they know you know?"

I shrugged. "They should know, I can hear conversations from anyone no matter the distance if I choose to, and I can read minds; those are just parts of my passive abilities.."

"So what are those two talking about over there?" She pointed over to two random guys.

I listened to what they were saying.

"I don't know man, what do you think?"

"Go for her, make a move."

"But what if she-"

"It won't hurt to try, if she declines, then you won't be as hurt because you didn't drag it out."

"You're not wrong.."

"Well?" Ruby prompted.

"One guy wants to asks a girl out but is nervous and his buddy and convincing him to do it."

"Oh wow.."

"So what exactly did you want, because I know you just didn't want to bring up that they're after me."

"I want you to help me."

I stopped. What.

"You see, my sister was a powerful girl. I looked up to her. She then one day read some book and became a superhero. I didn't understand, but I believed she was doing the right thing. One day I seen a story on the news, they were saying 'yet another superhero's body has been found mutilated with large gashes and burns, along with a mark of a flame on their body.' I looked at the screen and seen the body of my sister... I was devastated."

I looked at her.

"I vowed that day to get stronger to avenge her."
