Ok so a longer chapter than usual but we hit 3k!! I'm so honoured thank you all so much. The gif above just reminded me so much of Eloise and Marls so...that's who it is yay :)

Gryffindor Common Room had never looked better. Multicoloured fairy lights were strung from each of the stone walls, blues, pinks and green hues of light flowing over people's faces. Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen played over the hum of dancing teens, the artificial excitement caused by multiple crates of smuggled firewhiskey. Banners hung from the ceiling bearing happy returns for a certain set of twins and balloons bounced about the room. The comfy, red sofas had been moved to make space for a dance floor which a number of slightly tipsy girls were making the most of, much to the glee of the boys.

The guests of honour, however, were yet to arrive. James Potter was walking from where he just was in the library... at the request of Lily Evans, it being her job to get him out of Gryffindor Tower. His sister, Eloise, was returning from a brief walk around the grounds with Remus, the closeness of the pair, along with the werewolf's ironically innocent features made it a perfectly normal occurrence and directed any suspicion of a party away from the girl.

Sirius, who had been watching the Marauder's Map, watched as the names of his best friends neared the party, having met up on the way back to Gryffindor Tower,

"Alright everyone!" he called and caught the attention of the party, "James and Eloise should be here any minute so hide!" The music was turned off and replaced with the shuffling of students, scrambling to find a good hiding place. In a matter of seconds, the portrait opened,

"And that is why Team Jacob is better" Eloise's voice rang through the entrance,

"She made me read that entire series about vampires to explain why Jacob is the best character" Remus' voice came back, laughing,

"Oh Belle, you really put poor Moony through that?" James asked, laughing as well

"Well yes, I mean you would rather die before you read a book in general, let alone a romance novel Beastie and let's face it, Sirius would probably say something like, 'Why fantasize about a fictional character when you have a real-life fantasy right here'" she said, deepening her voice in a pathetic attempt at Sirius' voice. "Besides, Lils is Team Edward, the fool"

"Oi!" Lily protested, "Edward sparkles Elle...he sparkles"

"Whatever Lily!" Eloise retaliated and the four came into view.

ok so Twilight wasn't published yet but let's just ignore that for the purpose of this book taa

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" A shout sounded and James shrieked in surprise while Eloise fell back into Remus' arms. She looked around the room, watched as the confetti fell into the smiling faces of all of her friends, even Regulus, she noticed. She caught Cameron's eye and waved slightly, he returned the wave with a wink. She heard footsteps and Sirius was grinning as he walked from his hiding spot behind the sofa,

"Surprised?" he asked with a smug look on his face and James beamed, regaining his composure,

"You organised this?" he asked and Sirius nodded proudly. Remus cleared his throat and Sirius rolled his eyes,

"I did get some help from the others though" he added and Eloise laughed before walking towards her long-haired friend and wrapping her arms around his waist,

"Thank you Padfoot" she said, resting her cheek on his chest. His arms soon found their way around her shoulders and he put his chin on her head,

"Don't mention it Puff". Eloise felt another pair of arms around her back and James had joined the hug,
