023: Starting Act 2

Hearing that voice, a feeling of anger and disgust rises in Xiu Shinyi's chest. He wants to jump on him and smash his head so that no one else had to suffer, but if he holds himself back. He could not startle the snake in the grass. Pei Haoyi's body shakes a little and he starts to become evasive. He puts a clear distance between the two of them and refuses to look at Xiu Shinyi. He knows the reason for his distinctive actions and smiles a little inwardly.

Turning his head back, he spots a peculiar expression on the older man's face. Blinking his eyes and tilting his head, Xiu Shinyi asks, "Are you Ah Hao's fuqin, mister?"

Caught off guard by the beautiful porcelain doll-like young boy. Pei An's almost chokes. Feeling butterflies inside of his stomach, his hand itches to reach out and stroke that soft and delicate looking face. His breathing rate increases and his body is flushed with heat. Those blue eyes that are as deep as the ocean were mesmerizing. It also sends a shock penetrating deep into his heart. Pei An did not forget where he was and takes deep breaths to calm himself. He raises the corner of his lips and squints his eyes, "Ah, Yes. I'm Xiao Hao's fuqin. You must be a friend of my Xiao Hao."

Admitting inwardly that this person has good genes in his look even for his age. With a gentle front, his dark brown eyes were almost an ebony colour has a strange look of softness and doting in them when he gazes at Xiu Shinyi and Pei Haoyi. He narrows his eyes if only this person wasn't like what he was. It was too bad that Pei An was what he was and he was the perfect target for him.

Xiu Shinyi continues to reign in his urge and shakes his head. "It could be said that Ah Hao befriended me~! So, he's my friend."

Pulling on Pei Haoyi's hand, he shows off just how good their relationship is and hugs his friend. Xiu Shinyi, "Isn't that true, Ah Hao?"

Anxious to the max, he shoves Xiu Shinyi off and walks over to Pei An, "Let-Let's go home, baba."

Pei An frowns and reaches out to pat his shoulder. He shudders and backs up half a step before he sees a dark glint in Pei An's eyes. Knowing what it meant, Pei Haoyi almost cries. His eyes waters and he almost collapses onto the ground from the instability of his legs. He was scared; extremely scared of what was going to come. Luckily there was his 'father' to support him, his small body slumps onto the arms of his 'father'. Pei An picks him up.

Sighing as if he was frustrated at his son's ill manners, he apologizes, "Don't take to heart his actions. Xiao Hao is naturally very shy. I hope you can continue to be friends with him."

"Oh, look at my manners. What is your name?"

Doing an 'ok' sign with his left hand, he gives out a big smile that exposes his crafty canines, "Of course, I already consider Ah Hao as a friend! Also, I'm called Xiu Shinyi, mister."

Pei An's body trembles in delight and he coughs, as he corrects him, "Ah, don't call me 'mister', it makes it seem like we're strangers. After all, your my erzi's¹ first friend. Just call me, shushu², Xiao Xiu."

Taking precautions as he doesn't want to alert the lamb. He takes a more reserved route; they can always change the way they address each other later.

Xiu Shinyi bobs his head obediently and murmurs, "Shushu~"

The ingenuous look in his eyes as he addresses him causes the internal heat within Pei An's body to increase. His eyes were locked on Xiu Shinyi's face and his mind drifts off into a different direction. Pei Haoyi who feels a change squirms in his arm a little bringing him back from his imagination. By now Pei An's face was flushed and his eyes were dreamy like. Xiu Shinyi was a hundred ten percent sure that if they weren't out in the open, he would've long lost his reason.
