Chapter 14

Jungkook's Perspective

I came back home after my class with Tae. He couldn't help but shyly look down all the time when I was sitting with him. 

Sometimes he would play with his fingers or chew the tip of his pencil nervously. My eyes couldn't leave him. He was too irresistible.

My lips won't leave the smile. I couldn't help but feel very happy and cheerful.

Everything was fine until I opened up the door of my house and my smile dropped after watching someone in front of me.

"Oh hi Jungkook" 

"H-hi dad! You're here?"

"Why? Can't I just come and see my son" he walked in my direction and patted my shoulder with a smile.

He wasn't lonely to welcome me, mom was sitting on the couch and his driver and bodyguards were standing behind the couch.

"I missed you so much my son" he pulled me into a hug but I didn't hug him back.

"You don't even call your dad, that's not good," he said to me.

"I, I was busy with the studies" I lied but he nodded.

"My son is working very hard, isn't him? That's why I decided to give you your reward. I bought you a new phone." He said as usually, showing off about the money.

"But I don't need it," I said straight to his face.

"Don't be like your mom now, come on" he pulled my hand and put the new expensive phone on my hand. 

"He said he didn't want it, didn't you hear it? And I am glad he's like me not like you." I heard mom from behind. She stood up after stomping her hands on the table.

"Come on Jagiya, I just helped you and saved you from the loans and you're still sounding rude to me" he turned his head to my mom but she just stared at him with disgust.

"Who asked you for it? I didn't. And don't call me Jagiya. You have no right to call me that. Understood?" Mom raised her voice.

"Mom! Dad! What's happening here? Can someone tell me?" I tried to stop their arguments and I stood between them. 

"Your mom didn't tell you about the loans? Oh wow, now she hides things from you" he sounded like he was mocking my mother and it really pissed me off.

"What loans mom?" I asked her with furrowed eyebrows.

"J-Jungkook.... I..."

"Yes mom tell me" 

"She can't tell, let me tell you, loans for this house, for your college fees, groceries and the list goes on. I just helped her with that and see, she isn't even thankful for that" dad said.

"Mom? W-why didn't you tell me about that?" I shook my mom with her shoulder and I felt truly bad because I couldn't help her with those problems. She didn't even give me a single clue about it because she didn't want me to be included in her problems. She was hiding so that I couldn't be worried about it. 

I saw her eyes sparkling with tears and I just pulled her into a tight hug.

Her sniffles could be heard and she tried her best to control the tears. I pulled her away to wipe her tears with my hands.

"Mom... please" I whispered to her and she smiled at me through her tears.

"Ahem ahem! Jungkook, I always said that and I am still saying, you should come with me and join the company, you have a whole big company of billion dollars and that's all is just for you and you have to take care of it in the future."

"Stop it dad! Just Stop it now. How many times do I have to tell you that I am not coming with you at any cost. I am happy here with my mom and I don't need your money."

"Huh Jungkookie, you're so stupid. I wish you could have my brain."

"I am happy that I don't have your brain" 

"Ahh, this boy! Well, I am your father and you're my son. I still love you so much. Whenever you need my help or whenever you will be more intelligent to respect your father and his property so just let me know." He said and wore his black coat again.

He ruffled my hair and left with his bodyguard and driver. I slammed the door hard after he left.

I hugged my mom one more time and kissed the top of her head.

"I will be with you always mom and that's a promise" I said to her.

"I know my son." She smiled sweetly.

"Ommaya... I am hungry..." I whined and clutched her arm and she chuckled at me. 

"Ok, I will feed you Kookie, Kimchi rice?" She asked and my lips formed a smile again.
