Ashanti's POV

The next day...

We had an amazing night. After the incident in the kitchen, he calmed me down and we made something to eat.

We watched movies all night and fell asleep in each other's arms.

It had honestly been the perfect weekend.
But it wasn't over yet.

He was holding me tightly, my legs were around his waist, and his head was buried in my hair.

I felt so safe in his arms.

I looked up at his beautiful face to see that he was sleeping.

I got out of his arms carefully in order not to wake him and went out on the balcony to witness the beautiful sunrise.

I felt so at ease and I wish we never had to leave, but we would eventually have to get back to reality.

"No!," I heard him scream.

I turned to look at him and he was moving about in the bed. He seemed to be having a nightmare.

I quickly ran to his side and shook him awake.
I held him in my arms as he held me. I could feel his body soaked in sweat.

He calmed down after a few minutes and pulled away from me.

He got out of the bed and walked over to the balcony.

I got up and followed after him.

I touched his bare back and he stiffened from my touch.

I pulled my hand away and asked, "Do you want to talk about it?"

He shook his head, indicating that he didn't want to talk.

I nodded my head even though he couldn't see me.

I walked away and went downstairs.

I was going to make breakfast, but I guess he got maids to do it this time around.

I got a plate of food and ate in silence.

It didn't take me long before I finished the plate of food.

I washed up the dish and went into the room once again.

He had left and I felt somewhat hurt, but I guess he needed some space.

I put on a robe over my short, white nightgown before making my way downstairs to the beach.

He had rented out this entire area for the weekend, so it would just be the two of us.
The sun was still rising and hit the horizon so sweetly.

I stared in amazement at the astounding sight.
It was 10 times better than the sunrises in Seattle.

I sat in the sand, letting my feet dip into the water.

I closed my eyes and just felt the sun's rays dancing along my skin.

I took a deep breath and I knew that it was time for me to get back in.
