Chapter 44: Perfect

I was quick to go downstairs, rushing to the door

Today had to be perfect. Today our families meet

Today I see the family I haven't seen in ages

The second doorbell ring awoke me from my thoughts

I opened the door to see, my family AND Liam's standing there.....smiling at one another

The first person to step up was my mother she stared at me for about 2 seconds , and my heart never beat so hard...

"Renae, my beautiful girl I missed you so much!" She kissed my cheek

Her reaction completely shocked me, but hey, I'm not complaining

Everyone hugged or kissed me, but the last one to come in was my dad, he waited till everyone went to go find Liam and Leah in the dining room

"Come here, Renae" he said

And I did, he hugged me

And if I wasn't mistaken I could've sworn he whispered "I'm sorry"

I ignored it, if he was truly sorry, he wouldn't have said sorry like that

We went into the beautifully decorated dining room, everyone was smiling or laughing or just talking with each other

It's like a dream come true

I walked over over to Deshawn and Daniel who were talking to Rebecca

"Are they bothering you Rebecca?" I asked with a smile "They can get annoying at times

Deshawn gasped and Daniel crossed his arms and pouted his lips

Rebecca laughed "No, they're actually entertaining me, you have some really funny brothers, Renae"

I rolled my eyes playfully "they're just trying to impress you"

Deshawn tugged at my loose curl
"Don't lie little sis"

"Oww" I whined " And I'm older than you"

And after how we had a huge conversation about our childhood, even Daniel joined in, Liana slowly exited without anyone noticing,but it felt so good talking to my brothers again

Liam tugged at my arm slightly, and I excuse myself

"I think it's time to eat" he said with a smile

"Yeah, I'm starving"

Liam and I went near the table and he grabbed a champagne glass, and lightly tapped it with a spoon

"I know we are all talking and enjoying ourselves, but come on, everyone knows food should come first, who's hungry?"

Everyone left, and I even heard a few me's

I checked to see where Leah was, and I saw my mom coming to the table, still holding her

I guess she likes her

Marcus, who had greeted me very briefly at the door, seemed amused by sister twins,  and was actually kind

Diamond sat with Liana, and my three brothers found a way to make Rebecca and Xavier sit near them

I shook my head

The smell of the hot food made everyone close their mouth

Liam and I made sure a feast was made

It was food that should usually be at a thanksgiving

After filling up our bellies with many foods, it was already time to leave

I offered my family to stay, but they said it was no problem cause they were leaving tomorrow morning, and already paid for a hotel

Everyone had soon left, Leah had fell asleep and Liam was now putting her in bed

I went to our room and sighed laying on the bed

Today was such a good day

I felt the bed sink beside me, and I
heard a deep sigh

I turned my head to find Liam already looking at me

He took my hand "How was your day?"

I laughed "Awesome, yours?"

"Great"

I looked back at the ceiling

"What are you thinking about right now?" Liam asked

"About how much our families seemed to like each other"

"Yeah, my father was good wasn't he?"

"Yup"

Liam rose, "You should go take a shower and go to bed you look tired"

I gave him a lazy smile

"You're right"

I took about an hour in the hot steaming  shower, I just love it

When I got out,wrapping the towel tightly around my body, I stopped by the mirror

My hair was in a curly mess, and no type of makeup was on my face, but her I felt- beautiful....No- I was beautiful

I smiled at my reflection one last time then went out

Liam wasn't in the room, so I changed in the open, putting my nightgown on

While I was putting my hair in a messy bun two arms wrapped around me, Liam said he loved giving those hugs

Liam started kissing my neck, and I turned around, wrapping my hands around his neck, and we made out slowly

Things were getting too sexual too quickly so I stopped kissing him and removed his hands

He looked embarrassed, I knew we BOTH wanted to do the dirty deed but I just wanted to wait for the perfect moment

I kissed him on the cheek "Lets just go to sleep"

He nodded, and we both went to our bed, and slept

I don't think my life could've get any better at this point, It was everything I always wanted- Everything I always needed

And I had it
