Calum

"Baby? Are you okay?" I asked Emily, knocking on the bathroom door.

It's been a month since all of the birthday excitement and it's been nice to have things back to normal.

"Yeah." She said opening the door. "Just a little sick is all." She shrugged walking passed me.

"Mumma." Parker whined reaching up for her. She sighed and picked him up.

"What Parker? You're getting too big for this." She groaned and then we all walked to the living room.

"Can I stay home?" He asked.

"Nope, not today." She said. "Put your shoes on. Daddy's bringing you."she said setting him down on the floor.

"Are you sure you're okay?" I asked, chuckling a bit as I helped Eden with her shoes. "You seem kind of testy." I said and she glared at me.

"I'm fine Calum." She said. "I'm just going to sleep a little more and then go do some work for Amanda." She said giving me a kiss.

"Alright, I love you." I said giving her a quick kiss. "Feel better."

"I love you." She sighed. "And I love you two, have a good day." She said to the two kids waiting to leave.

"Love you mumma." Parker mumbled.

"Bye Emmy." Eden smiled opening the door.

I then was able to drop the kids off on time- thankfully- and then drove to work, where I did the usual running around for Ashton.

It was boring and I didn't like it, but it was money and Ashton is one of my best friends. If he's nice enough to get me a job I'm certainly not going to turn it down.

"I need advice." I said walking into Ashton's office. It was now the end of the day and I was getting ready to leave.

"Um, okay what's up?" He said, turning around to look at me.

"I'm having thoughts." I said. "About Emily and our little kind of family situation and how much I really fucking love her Ash." I sighed.

"So? What are you thinking?" He asked, laughing a bit.

"I want to marry her." I breathed. "I swear to god I want her forever Ashton. I want her, I want to have more kids with her and I want to be there for her son. I just don't know if we're ready and I don't know what to do."

I know what I want to do. I want to marry her and I know that. It's just hard knowing if she's ready for that yet or if we're ready. Now that we have a home together though and since I've been treating her son like my own and same with her to Eden all I've been able to think about is being with her forever and have kids with her and just a nice family.

"I'd say go for it. You seem sure of it and it's obvious to everyone else that she does really care about you." He said. "You've got nothing to close Calum. Luke and I can help plan something, Michael can too he just probably won't be much help." He laughed.

"Really? Do you think I can do this? Oh my god. What if she doesn't want to?" I said pacing back and forth.

"Shut up. You have time still and if you're really really sure about this than you will be fine. I'm sure she's been thinking about it too." He explained.

"Okay." I said. "Yeah, okay. This is what I want. Thank you."

"You're welcome. Now go home." He laughed. "When you're ready, just let me know and we'll plan something."

"Okay. Have a nice night." I said before walking out to my car.

I drove to the school to pick the kids up and then made it back home.

"Daddy can we have a tea party tonight?" Eden asked taking her shoes off.

"Just us?" I asked and she nodded. "Alright, go get ready, I'll be up in a bit." I said making her smile. She then ran upstairs with Parker following behind her, assuming he was going to his room.

"Em we're home!" I called, searching through the house for her. "Emily!" I said walking upstairs to our bedroom. The door was shut so I knocked first before entering.

"Babe, we're home." I said walking in. She was sitting on our bed wiping her eyes. "What's wrong? Do you still feel sick?"

"Well, um, yes." She breathed. "I didn't go to work today by the way. I lied, I didn't plan on going. I just stayed home and went to the store."

"That's alright." I chuckled sitting down next to her. "Why are you crying though?"

"I'm fine Cal." She sighed. "I'm just having a rough day. Where's Parker?"

"He's in his room. Seriously though, what's wrong Emily." I said wrapping my arms around her. "I don't like when you're sad."

"You're going to be upset." She sighed rubbing her hands through her hair. "Or mad, I don't know." She groaned.

"Just talk to me Em. I've got like five minutes before Eden comes searching for me." I laughed.

"Okay, okay." She said standing up and walking to the bathroom, then walking back out and handing me something. "I'm sorry."

"What's this?" I asked. She handed me a pregnancy test and on it had a little '+'. "Really?"

"I'm sorry. I-I was hoping to stop crying by the time you got home. I at least wanted to have this be more special than it is." She breathed. "I know I was upset last time when I wasn't pregnant but I don't know if I'm ready to have another one like what if you leave or you don't want it, I-I don't know Calum, my experience with this hasn't been good. I'm nervous and scared because I love you and I don't want you to be mad or hate me."

She was clearly worked up about it and I don't blame her. When she thought she was last time she didn't get worked up because she wasn't actually pregnant, if she actually is this time then I can see why she's worried. She was in an abusive relationship and I can only imagine how awful he actually treated her during it.

"Shhh, calm down Em." I said hugging her tight. "I'm not mad or upset. I need you to remember that I'm not your ex though. Eden and I aren't going anywhere. I love you and I love Parker and I wish you weren't upset over something that's supposed to be a good thing." I frowned.

"I'm sorry, I just- I don't know Calum, I let my thoughts get the best of me on that one." She sighed. "Pinky promise you're not going to leave?"

"Pinky promise babe." I said hooking our pinkies and giving her a kiss.

"Daddy!" Eden said barging into our room. "Tea party time." She said crossing her arms.

"Okay, I'm coming." I sighed standing up. "Why don't we have emmy and Parker join us this time?" I suggested.

"But daddy." She pouted.

"I know darling, this is supposed to be our time, but I think it'd be fun for all of us to join tonight. I know it'd make Emmy happy." I said crouching down to be eye level with my daughter. Eden looked past me and at Emily, then back at me.

"Fine." She groaned turning around.

"Lose the attitude Eden!" I called out as she walked away. I then turned back to Emily.

"You're a dork, I love you." She giggled.

"I love you too. No more being upset alright?" I said as she walked over to me.

"Wow, I'm cured." She said sarcastically.

"Okay, but I mean, I love you Em. I don't think we have anything to worry about." I said. "Now go get Parker, we're going to have a tea party."
