Manik stood in his rooms balcony looking at the dark night, there was no moon, no stars just the dark night and the sky look a tinge of orange because of the street lights

He was thinking about what happened today, this disturb him, ten years Nandini and kids would have gone through this shit and he wasn't there to protect them

He was lost in his thoughts when he felt her hands travel from back, creasing his turso went around his stomach and a second later she leaned her head to his back

"I was waiting for you" her voice was a whisper, he held her hand which rest on his stomach

"Nandini may I ask you a question" he said turned a bit and took her in a side hug now her right hand went around his stomach and left went around his waist, she just nooded yes getting close to his warmth

"Why didn't you attend Raqesh's cousin's wedding?" he felt her go stiff for a moment

"There was a lot of work Mani" she said hiding her face in his chest

He held her chin gently and made her look at him

"Sach sunna tha mujhe" Nandini knew this is going to break him a bit more

"Manik Singhaniyas are best you know but their extended family is a bit conservative, I won't like anyone saying anything to our kids" there was a sense of protectiveness in her statement

He leaned forward and kissed her forehead

"You make me proud Jaan" he said making her smile wide

"Thanks I know I am Very much capable" she said lightning his mood

"But I don't think the same about you" she said and made a face looking at him head to toe, he was still a vampire

This is when he noticed her, she was wearing a deep V neck, sleeveless magenta top which reached her mid thigh, her hairs were in bun and there was no traces of makeup on her face

"What are you wearing?" he asked her shock

"Clothes" she replied with smile

"Nandini what if others saw you roaming around in this" he hissed coming close to her

"No one will" she waved her hand dismissing

"The kids are of to bed, Mom and Dad went for a long drive and well our friends must be spending passionate nights in their partners arms" she said making his eyes go wide

"And look here my boyfriend is dressed as vampire looking in the dark sky" she said in a spooky tone entering his room from the balcony Making him look at her bored

"Jaan use some filter while talking we have kids around" he said walking behind her and she stopped and looked around

"Where?" she said acting as if thinking

"As per my knowledge all the kids are sleeping in the boys room in my apartment" she said and he had an urge to roll his eyes

"Come now let's clean you up" she said gesturing him through her hands as he walked near the bed to see her taking cotton and moisturizer, she made him sit on the bed and say on his lap making him notice the cream color shorts she wore which no one could know she was wearing as her top was hiding it

"Oh you are wearing these" he mock pointing at her shorts and she glared at him

"Why do you have any problem?" she asked while putting moisturizer on the cotton

"No I am a bit disappointed" he said as he held her by her waist and she started to remove all his makeup

"You know it could have been easy if you didn't wear these" he said gesturing her shorts with his eyes as she stop doing her work, for a second her breadth quicken
