"I know how difficult it is for you. I know it hurts when you miss a joke, or when you can't make eye contact in the times you wish you could. Or the times when you watch the world around you and feel broken or simply just not right. Or when you wish you could say something but feel like you can't. I know how scared you are of being alone but yet you're lonely and feel it can't be any different. So this is my promise to you. I promise to tell you when it's a joke, so you never miss another one. I promise to continuously tell you how incredibly and breathtakingly special you are. I promise to help you say the things you can't, and I promise you'll never have to be alone again, because I'm not going anywhere"-Edward Cullen

________
*NOTE: while the term Asperger's is now outdated and not proper terminology in the autism community, it is used because at the time the story is set in, this is what Margo would have been diagnosed with. Which in real life, would have been harder for her to get diagnosed as females typically go undiagnosed more often. The term will change in later chapters, and more discussions will be had in this book regarding this term later on. This term is in no way used to hurt, defame, or wrongly label someone, or anyone for that matter, in the autism community. I am fully aware of, and fairly well educated in Autism a spectrum disorder, as my partner has autism, and as it is also what I went to school for, and am currently getting a higher-level education in, and work with children with autism daily. I have nothing but the outmost respect for the community and wish no one any harm by using the term. This book was written to show the beautiful, positive sides of ASD, as well as to give education to those who might not understand the struggles of it- exemplified by one of the most truly human and wonderful characters I have ever written about; Margo Baker.
