A dead body can't smile for the camera
A dead soul can't find enough stamina
Tell me, can you wake up in the morning
Are you depressed, are you in mourning
Dismemberment has to be the hardest part
What should I do, don't know where to start
I'm leaving the country
I'm so sorry mother
They're going to hunt me
I took the life of another
I've brought the family dishonor and disgrace
I'm ashamed, now I must hide my face
I need to leave this town
Before the police come around
I'm heading out, now, I could sure use some money
They still can find me and that's what's truly funny
Because until now I've been hiding in plain sight
Now I'm getting on a plane, need to catch my flight
Don't you worry about me, I'm going to be alright
I'll be just fine, believe me, you can sleep tight
I'm going to go try to wash this blood from my hands
And never get it back on them again
No time to say goodbye to all my family and friends
I know I'll never see them again
But I'd be lying if I said it wasn't my fault
At least I haven't been caught
