4 months later....

Whispering Springs is everything I hoped it would be and more. It is a tiny little town at the bottom of a ski slope meaning lots of tourists and there are very few locals. Which is just what I want, people to pass by not people who will remember me. This tiny town has quickly become my Safe Haven, my home.

I bought an old building in the middle of town and created my greatest wish. I created a bakery! And lucky for me it's the only one in miles.

The best part is that I was able to make the downstairs a bakery while the upstairs is the apartment of my dreams.

I had worked beside the contactor through the entire project wanting to have a hand in building my refuge. The entire process was therapeutic for me. Every beam, brick, and nail was a step closer to freedom.

The contractor in tern became my best friend, and now I have several other friends. I didn't mean for it to happen but I'm not sorry that it did.

My whole life has changed for the better in just 4 months. In 4 months I have accomplished more than anything I have ever done in my entire life  I have created stability, a home, a group of friends. I have created a life that I love.

Today is opening day of my bakery and I could not be more excited it's everything.

Looking in the mirror I smooth my hands over my tiny bump that I love so much. It's proof that there really is something growing inside of me!

I have been lucky,  I have had such an easy pregnancy. I have avoided morning sickness, fatigue, and all of those other horrible things seasoned mother's warn you of.

It's like the baby knows that it's Mama is already struggling and it's trying to help out by being as calm as possible.

Walking downstairs I get to work. I already prepped the dough last night before bed so it just needs to go into the oven now. As I get busy I can not help but feel excited butterflies in my belly.

This is it, I have done it. I am living my dream!

Walking to the front of the shop I turn on the open sign, unlock the door and pray. Here goes nothing.

Texas sat across from the new bakery and watched the pretty little owner flip her sign to open and unlock the door.

She is probably 5'3, 120 lbs, and has the prettiest green eyes I have ever seen. She has brown hair that falls down around her breasts and a smile that can light up a room.
She is the kind of girl you can't help but notice.

She had moved into town several months ago and bought the building with cash. She made quick work in converting the old Mill into a bakery.

She named it "Rockin’ Rolls" and Id be dammed if I didn't like the play on words. It was cute just like her.

She is shy though, only befriending a couple women in town. Women only she won't give a man the time of day. I honestly would have thought she was into women if it weren't for that little baby bump that has started to show.

Normally that little bump would have made me quickly look the other way. I have never had a thing for mother's mainly because it takes two to tango and there is almost always a father around. I'm not about stepping on another man's territory. But she was different.

She caught my interest as soon as I saw her all bundled up in a ratty old jacket. She had been standing outside of the building with Kelsey (my sister. Who happened to be the contractor hired to do all the renovations.) Her hair had been blowing around her and her glasses kept slipping off her nose. She had been so animated when talking moving her hands back and forth as she spoke.

Some how she was both adorable and breathtaking all at once. I knew in that instance that she would be mine. I had never been so attracted to one little female so fast.

Kelsey is now best friends with the buildings owner. They had bonded during the renovations so like any love sick puppy I used Kelsey to find more out about the beautiful little baker. Specifically if there was a baby daddy hanging around.

I found out that the laddies name is Lilly she is 25 and single. She went to school in New York and refers to her baby daddy as "sperm donor" and nothing else. She is quite and according to Kelsey terrified of men.

We both have a feeling that sperm donor is to blame for that but there isn't much that can be done if she doesn't want it handled.

I have been waiting for this day since she moved here, the day she opens her shop, the day I can get my first chance to talk to her. Moving my bike I pull up to her parking lot and take a deep calming breath.

This is it I am about to talk to the women I am going to make my Old Lady.
