Chapter 17

I was in science when Alex comes into the classroom telling me a teacher wanted me. Okay was I in trouble I did nothing wrong.

We were walking down the corridor when he stops and turns to look at me.

I gave him a confused look "shouldn't we get to the teacher"

"There's no teacher"

Okay now I was more confused "so why did you call me out"

"Look there's no easier way to say this so..."

"So what? Alex you’re scaring me"

"Michael" Alex takes a deep breath "we've been drifting apart"

I shake my head quickly "no no no don't tell me what you are going to say"

"I just think we shouldn't be friends anymore" he finishes.

I look down at my shoes as the tears start streaming down my face. I look back up at him "why" I croak out "Is it because of Luke because I swear to god Alex nothing can come between our friendship"

"No it's not Luke" Alex says placing his hands on my shoulders "it's another reason"

"Then tell me what it is" I cry out quietly "and we can fix it"

"I can't I'm sorry"

"Alex why can't you tell me?"

"Because it will ruin you"

"Alex that makes entirely no sense"

He let's go and starts to walk away but I grab his arm and make him turn back to me "please don't do this"

"God Michael don't you understand. Were done, our friendship is over"

He walks away leaving me in the hallway. I cry into my hands, I just lost my best friend and didn't even give me a god damn good reason.

"Michael"

I turn around to see Calum there. He holds out his arms and I walk into them. I cry into his neck.

"Sshh Mikey Luke and Ashton are coming now"

I pull away "wait you were here"

He removes some hair that was stuck to my forehead "I heard everything. Michael I'm so sorry"

"Baby what happened"

I got out of Calum's arms and went straight into Luke's and cried while Calum tells them the story.

I feel a hand rubbing my back and one in my hair "baby's he's a dick okay?"

"Why would he do this Lukey" I cry

"I don't know" he mumbles.

I step away and wipe my eyes "right I have Shakespeare"

"You’re really going to go back to class" Luke says with a worried expression. "Why don't I take you home?"

"Look he's with me" Ashton tells Luke "I'll look after him"

Luke nods before pecking me on the lips "meet me after school?"

I nod my head and Luke and Calum head off one direction and me and Ashton head the other way.

When in Shakespeare I wasn't really listen.

Why didn't Alex give me a reason on why we can't be best friends anymore?

The drama will happen soon I promise!!!
