Three: I'm not sure, she said she'd be here. We just have to wait.
Isabella: I'm here! Sorry I took so long!
Three: It's fine.
Three stuck her hand out to shake.
Isabella stared at it for a few seconds and then gave Three a sideways high five.
Three: [awkwarddddd]
Isabella gave Three a big smile.
Isabella: So, you want to look at the catalog?
She pulled out a magazine for her new shop. Three pushed it away but Eight took it and flipped through it.
Three: Isabella we need your help.
Isabella: Huh?
Three: I'm Agent Three of the Squidbeak Splatoon. There's Eight of us.
Isabella: Squidbeak? You mean like from the Great Ink War?
Three: We'll get into details later, follow me.
Isabella: W- wait! I need to get someone to watch the shop.
Eight: Oh! I can do it!
Isabella liked the idea.
Isabella: Okay! Agent Three, let me show Agent Eight how to run the shop and we'll be off.
Three: You can call me Three.
Eight: And me Eight!
Three and Isabella arrived in Octo Canyon. Sheldon, Marina, and Cama where there. They had a big contraption hidden under some sheets.
Sheldon: Why hello, Isabella!
Isabella: Sheldon? You're part of the Splatoon, too!?
Sheldon: Well yes, but actually no.
Cama came up to Isabella and offered her a high-five. Isabella gave in.
Cama: I love your style! It's super fresh!
Isabella, unlike her mother Flow, wasn't wearing big puffy clothes. Sluglings had very Inkling/Octoling-like bodies. Isabella's outfit was very purple.
Isabella: Hold on! You're Cama from Squid News!
Cama: hehe
Marina: Isabelle you know what Zapfish are, right?
Isabella shifted her focus to Marina, who was now putting something together.
Isabella: You're Marina! From Off the Hook!
Marina blushed a little bit. No one has really recognized her like that in a while.
Marina: Yes, but have you?
Isabella: Mmm. Zapfish. Oh! I know! The Great Zapfish that powers Inklantis!
Marina: Well there are smaller, less powerful Zapfish that we need.
Isabella: What for?
Sheldon: We're making weapons to fight-
Three put her hand over Sheldon's mouth.
Three: Look, do you want to help us or not?
Isabella: Yes! I would love to!
Marina: Well, congratulations. You're now officially Agent 9 of the Squidbeak Splatoon.
Isabella: woahhhh
Marina handed Isabella some gear.
Marina: Put this on.
Isabella went into the cabin and changed.
She came out wearing her new hero gear.
Sheldon: Specially designed by the three of us!
Cama: Fashionable.
Marina: Effective.
Sheldon: Battle-ready!
Isabella: Why do I need this? Sluglings don't make ink, we make weird gooey slime.
Isabella gestured to the ink tank.
Marina: Ooh! Don't worry. It's modified to work with it!
Sheldon: We used some slime from Salmonoids to test it. Should work the same!
Isabella turned into her slug form. The Slime Tank filled up.
Cama: I'm sure you know, but the way you make slime and Inklings make ink is very different. For one, you leave a small trail of slime in your Slug form. Second, you're wayyy slower in your slug form. Third-
Isabella: Okay! I get it! Slug form is good but not always.
Cama: Oh, I'm sorry.
Isabella: It's okay.
Isabella: So, where's my weapon?
Sheldon: Sadly we couldn't get a Hero shot or splattershot to work.
Marina: We used my Custom Ink Brush design. I'll show you how to use it later.
Marina handed Isabella the Custom Ink Brush Mark 2.
Isabella was clearly happy.
Three: Our mission starts tomorrow Isabella. Do practice using that.
Isabella smiled.
Isabella: I will Three! Bye!
Three smiled at Isabella, giggled a bit and waved goodbye.
Marina: Let's get to training.
Isabella: I'm ready!
