Pure Michigan

Hi babies!!! So, I got a few questions privately about where I live & if we're actually a mitten. It isn't a surprising question, tbh... But! Yes, Michigan is shaped like a mitten lol. So I'm gonna give ya a quick geography lesson!

This is Michigan. It's made up of the upper & lower peninsulas (a peninsula is a body of land surrounded by water) We down in the lower peninsula call the upper peninsula simply "The U.P." & their residents are "Yoopers". I have no idea what they call us lol. But here's what we look like from space!

(Off to the right & up above is Canada btw)

We have 5 freshwater lakes. They're called the Great Lakes. There's Huron, Ontario, Michigan, Erie, & Superior.

I stay right on the shores of Lake Michigan in a city called Muskegon, so I'm fortunate to have the beach 10 minutes from my apartment 😁
