Around 2 this afternoon we landed in Arizona and honestly it didn't feel right at all. Knowing that my grandma wasn't gonna be waiting on us as we entered her house, knowing that we'll never get to celebrate another holiday with her over the top events or simply being that I'll never be able to have another intimate conversation with her. This was the most painful feeling in the world. Every since we arrived to her house I've been upstairs in the guest room laying in the bed. My momma went to the hospital already to see what was going on and Dana was gone with her babydaddy therefore Elena, Kentrell and I were here alone but Elena was in the other room knocked out. I'm so thankful for him coming because I know that I'm gonna really need him by my side throughout this
"How you feelin?" Kentrell asked while he looked down at me as I laid up on his chest. I had been crying so much that I literally had no tears left to cry but my whole mood was gloomy
"I don't even know Kentrell" I mumbled and he sighed
"Everything gone be Ight"
He kissed my forehead and sighed closed my eyes
"I hope so"
I could hear the door downstairs open and a pair of feet ran upstairs
"NOEL!" Liyah's voice called out and I immediately opened my eyes, sitting up
"Oh hell" Kentrell muttered while Liyah entered the room. I hopped off the bed and went over to her, hugging her tight
"Are you okay? I heard what happened this morning"
"I'm okay. This is crazy though"
"Tell me about it" she responded as she finally pulled away from the hug. She looked over at Kentrell and he frowned up his face
"Whatchu lookin' at ugly ass lil girl?"
Liyah smacked her lips and I laughed
"Can you even be nice for 5 seconds?"
"Nah. I'm good" Kentrell told her and I shook my head while getting back on the bed. I laid back under Kentrell and liyah sat on the side of the bed I was on
"Anyways, how long are y'all out here?"
"There's no telling"
"Sooo... on the bright side I might have my best friend for a while?" She asked with a smile and Kentrell wrapped his arms around me
"Nah. She'on fuck witcho stank ass"
"And what exactly did I do to you for you to be so mean to me?" Liyah asked with a frown and I looked up at Kentrell, hoping he don't say nothing crazy cause I know how his mouth is
"You actually the only one of these mu'fuckers I like out here so you better feel lucky"
"He ain't lying" I shrugged as Elena walked into the room rubbing her eyes
"I knew I heard liyah's loud mouth" she said before yawning
"I hope you brushed yo' teeth; yawning like that" Kentrell spoke
Elena slapped her hand on her thigh and made a face at Kentrell before sitting beside liyah
"I see you finally met Noel's asshole in person"
"Kentrell's not an asshole. It just takes a lot of tolerance to deal with him"
"Well your tolerance level must be high" Elena mumbled. Liyah's phone started going off so she quickly looked down at it and jumped up off of the bed
"Ima be late for my appointment"
"What appointment?" I asked, being nosey
"To get my eyebrows done. I go to the lady at the mall and she charges if you late"
"They already fucked up enough. You think she can fix those?" Kentrell asked liyah and she mugged him
"Shut up Kentrell" I told him while slapping his chest, laughing a little
"She do walk ins too? Cause I need mine done" Elena said while touching hers and Liyah nodded. Kentrell looked at me
"You getting yours done too?"
"No. I'm good with my bushy brows" I told him as I buried my face in his shirt
"You know what. All of y'all come on, I'm getting y'all outta this house right now" liyah said while she slapped my leg and I groaned
"I don't feel like it liyah"
"You can't sit in the house sad Noel. Come on"
"Liyah..."
"I know you'on feel like it, but just do it for her. That way she can shut up faster" Kentrell told me and I deeply sighed before getting up
"Fine"
"Damn bitch it took Kentrell to get you up" liyah said with an attitude and I rolled my eyes before slipping my shoes on.
"I can just get back in the bed then"
"Too late. You up already. Come on Kentrell, get that ass up"
He looked at liyah some type of way while he continued to sit on the bed "lil girl you got me fucked up"
"That's exactly why you don't tell him to do anything" Elena said to liyah "if you want something done from him, get Noel to tell him"
Liyah looked at me and I looked over at Kentrell "bae"
He muttered something under his breath and got up, putting his shoes on
"This mall about to be packed ain it?" Elena asked liyah, who responded with another nod
"You already know it. Everybody and their mommas come to the mall on fridays. They bout to be shook seeing Noel, especially since she brought Kentrell with her too"
"As long as none of these hoes try to talk to him or nobody starts with him, I'm good" I simply told liyah while I walked over to Kentrell and wrapped my arms around him
"You know people out here start shit for fun. And they probably gonna try to say something being that you with Noel and half of the niggas out here either wanted to fuck with her or they're cool with trey. But Kentrell all you gotta do is ignore em."
"They don't want no smoke wimme. I promise you that" Kentrell told liyah
"No forreal. I can't stand Kentrell but he ain't lying. They really don't" Elena spoke, making liyah awkwardly nod
"Okay then. We'll beat they ass if you want. Ion fuck with nobody out here anyways" she told Kentrell before walking out of the room. I shook my head and grabbed Kentrell's hand, following Elena out of the room while praying that nothing goes down while we're out
