"Have her home by 9pm Padfoot or I will have to kill you" James was sat on Eloise's bed as she did her makeup for her date. Eloise rolled her eyes at her brother through the mirror and Sirius scoffed at James from where he was leaning against the doorframe,

"9pm, Prongs? Really? What are we, seven years old?"

"Yes, really!" he said, crossing his arms, "I don't appreciate your cheek either, I can easily not let you take her out"

"Umm, no you can't" Eloise chirped and pointed her eyeshadow brush at the boy. James sighed heavily and fell backwards onto the bed,

"I cannot believe that my baby sister is going on a..." he scrunched his face up in disgust, "a date". Eloise frowned and turned around in her chair,

"And may I ask why that is so hard to believe, dear brother?" she asked, eyebrows raised in a menacing manner, "Do you think I'm too frigid to get a date?" she glared at James as he sat up, sensing dangerous waters and looking at Sirius for help.

"N-no I just..." he stuttered and Eloise tilted her head, eyes still narrowed, "I just never saw it happening, especially not with Sirius-" Sirius was gesturing furiously for James to stop talking,

"Why especially not with Sirius?" Eloise asked and James gulped nervously,

"I mean, Sirius- y'know, he's always had all of these girls and- well I just thought you'd go for someone like Remus."

"Someone like Remus?"

"Yeah, you know, someone who likes books and follows the rules and is more prone to...settling down" Sirius slapped his hand over his face. Eloise kissed her teeth and turned back to the mirror to carry on with her makeup,

"For the record, James" she said, "You say Sirius has always had these girls, but just because you haven't seen me with boys, doesn't mean I haven't been with any". At her words James turned wide-eyed to Sirius, the latter of which just shook his head and walked out of the room.

Eloise and Sirius were sat in a muggle cinema in the village by their house, Sirius having taken Eloise out after claiming,

"We haven't even had our first date yet!" whilst pouting and tilting his head like a sad puppy. Eloise had, of course, given in and that was why they were sat in the back row of the theatre as the words Bugsy Malone were displayed on the large screen. It was the first muggle film that either of them had ever seen and it was safe to say that they absolutely loved it. It was like a wizard photograph with sound and Eloise was enjoying every moment of it. There were parts where she was crying with laughter and others where she was on the edge of her seat; each time either of which happened, she would turn to Sirius with wide eyes and a large grin on her face, his expression mirroring hers.

The film ended and the pair left the cinema, fingers intertwined as they chatted excitedly about the film. They walked to the cafe across the road, sitting down by the window,

"What can I get you?" the young waitress asked, very obviously flirting as she batted her eyelashes at Sirius. Eloise's smile slid off her face and she glowered at the girl, Sirius smirking at the sight of her getting jealous,

"Two milkshakes please, chocolate for me and vanilla for my girlfriend" he smiled at Eloise across the table as the waitress scowled at her,

"Sure" she walked off and Eloise watched her with narrowed eyes, turning to a smug-looking Sirius once she had disappeared into the kitchen,

"What?" she asked innocently and Sirius' smirk grew,

"Getting a bit jealous were we, Puff?" he asked and Eloise scoffed loudly,

"No, of course not" she leant back, crossing her arms as she shrugged, "I'm utterly casual" she said, looking at her nails. Sirius chuckled slightly,

"Definitely, so you wouldn't mind if I told you that she's staring at me right now?" Eloise's head snapped upwards and, sure enough, the waitress was looking directly at Sirius,

"That's it" Eloise said angrily as she stood up slightly, grabbing Sirius by the collar and kissing him strongly. They pulled apart and she sat back down, turning to look at the girl and winking.

"Was I supposed to find that really hot?" Sirius asked with a grin,

"Don't be stupid" Eloise replied, flipping her hair over her shoulder, "of course you were".

Eloise's straw dropped out of her mouth as she gasped. Looking out of the window, she saw a pair of eyes watching her from in between the trees. The eyes, however, didn't belong to a person: a large brown stag was staring intently at the couple, trying to be inconspicuous...and failing miserably.

"Oh Merlin have mercy on his soul" Eloise muttered and Sirius frowned,

"What?" he asked,

"Nothing, don't worry" she tried to distract him but it didn't work as he followed her gaze out of the window, "You have got to be kidding me" Sirius rolled his eyes, "I've had enough of this" he stood up, slamming some money down on the table for the drinks and walking outside.

"Pads, wait!" Eloise sighed as she walked out after him, "Of course I have to have a stupid brother and boyfriend!"

"Prongs!" Sirius shouted as she strode over to the stag - although it had changed back into James by that point,

"Paddy..." James began, sensing Sirius' anger,

"What is your fucking problem?" he asked and James threw his hands in the air,

"My problem? What do you think my problem is, Sirius?" he gestured to Eloise who was watching worriedly, "My baby sister is still having nightmares about that arse Milton. How am I supposed to just be alright with letting her go out with-"

"With me!" Sirius interrupted, "It's me, Prongs: her boyfriend, do you really think I'd let something happen to her?" his voice had risen and James' shoulders slumped, "Why are you worried about Eloise being around me so much, James?" he asked, "Is it because I'm a Black?" his voice had dropped to a whisper, his eyes sad under his hair that was being blown slightly in the July breeze. James' head had whipped up to look at him,

"No, Pads, no! It's not her being around you, it's just her not being with me"

"If I may interject" Eloise stepped forward, "James, what Cameron did was really shit, and yes, it's still affecting me. But Sirius is helping me, helping me to think about other things. What's not helping is you keep thinking that I can't handle it" she grabbed James' hand and his eyes looked to the floor in shame,

"I'm sorry, Belle" he said quietly, "I just- I don't want to see you get hurt anymore"

"I'm moving on James, it's hard but I'm doing it" she smiled slightly, "You just have to too"
