My Team stands face to face with another. The arena is split in two, one side is forest and the other is ice. I look in the stands at my girlfriend, who watches with a worried gaze. We got paired with one of the of the strongest teams from Mystrl. The countdown begins, and I take deep breaths.

"Begin!"

Blossom stays behind as the rest of us run at the opposing team. The twins go after two guys. One wields a large blade with a split in a middle to launch some sort of projectile. The other carries a pair of small guns tethered together. That leaves me with the other two. They are, ironically, also twins. They are armed with a chain sickle that appears to be made of solid light. They swirl the sickle and launches them my way. The earth raises, due to Blossom, stopping one. I punch the other out of the sky. It spins in the air for a split second before I grab it. I tug on it pulling one twin hurling towards me. I throw my leg out, but he slides under. I drop the sickle due to a swipe by the other twin. My opponents surround me, one on each side of me.

"Two against one-

                                           -it's hardly fair"

"We'll see." I say.

They crouch and lunge at me. One goes up, and the other goes down. I stand still, and let Blossom block the attacks. They, then gather their footing.

"I see..." One says.

They swirl their sickles again, and attack in a similar fashion to Ruby. I managed to survive the onslaught unscathed, thanks in part to Blossom, and land a few solid strikes on one twin. The other seems more exhausted than the other, so I continue my own barrage. I knock him down. He flinched, as his back hit the ground. He looks to me and gives a mischievous smile. I look back to my second enemy, that is in a sprint towards Blossom. Blossom tries to detour him with some stone walls, but he just avoids them. I think fast and attempt to fire off an explosive round. Too little too late, as the twin I had knocked down grabs my leg and pulls me to the floor. My head roughly hits the arena ground. In a haze, I roll on my back just in time to see his blade hurling at me. I roll out of the way, and jump to my feet. Then, I grab the chain and yank it, extending my leg in the process. His chest brutally collides with my foot, forcing a breath from him and making his impact to the ground land mostly on his head, neck, and upper back.

"Blossom Miller has been eliminated!"

Noooo... Too late. Blossom lies outside of the arena.

I see red.

I sense the twins surrounding me again. The one I fought being significantly more drained. They try the same attack as last time. I activate my semblance, which helps me dodge every attack. The weakened one stops to kneel and painfully clutch his chest. I take the chance to knock the blades away from their owners.

"My turn."

I grab the healthier twin and throw him at the other. I bounce back a couple steps, and run full speed at them. Landing one explosive and powered punch, sends them both out of field.

"THAT'S A QUADRUPLE KNOCK OUT!"

I am taken aback at the statement, but sure enough the twins did knock their opponents out at seemingly the same time. The power of my most recent strike and overuse of my semblance left me tired. I look to where Weiss is and give her a wave before I fall to my back, and I breathe heavily.

"I know you're tired, but you can't sleep on the stage Boss." Aegis said.

"Give me your hand." Kamui says.

I sigh. Kamui pulls me to my feet.

Blossom runs back on stage.

"Good job." She smiles, but it quickly turns to a frown. "Sorry I couldn't help you out in the end."

"Don't worry about it." I pet her head comfortably.

My scroll buzzes.

Weiss -'Meet us in the fairgrounds.'

______

"Did they say where they are?" Kamui asks.

"No, but I'll ask." I say.

Well she said the fairground, but she didn't say where. I reach for my scroll.

"There!" Blossom points to a food booth.

There sits RWBY with bowls of noodles in front of them. There are also four other bowls besides theirs. My team approaches the booth. I sneak behind Weiss and hug her, resting me head on hers.

"Hey." I say.

When Ruby realizes we are here her eyes widen significantly.

"That was amazing!" Ruby then goes on a tangent detailing the entire events of our battle.

"Anyways..." Yang says. "Congrats. It was  fought battle."

"Yeah, I didn't have that much hope you would win." Blake said.

"And now they owe me money." Weiss comments.

"Why is that?" Kamui asks.

"Hehe... Well we may have made a bet." Ruby spoke.

"Yeah... And we thought you would lose." Yang said guiltily.

Aegis looks like he's been physically hurt. "Really?"

Blake shrugs.

"Better pay up." Weiss holds her hand out, and Ruby, Yang, and Blake each places their owed amount in her hand.

"I figured you'd be hungry. So we ordered food for you." Ruby says.

"Great! You guys are the best. I almost forgot the fact that you didn't believe in us." Aegis remarks.

My team sits in the closest available seats to RWBY. We were hungry and made quick work of the impressively large bowls. The team is satisfied, except Aegis who orders a second serving. I walk behind Weiss, and assume my previous position. I speak into her head.

"Thank you. For the food and for believing in us." I hug her tighter, finding no other way to express my joy.

"Awww!" Ruby says. "Weiss are you blushing?"

In embarrassment Weiss shakes me off her. I tumble to the ground from the force.

"Am not!" she said.

This happens a lot whenever Ruby is near. I decided to just lay there, not really having the energy to get back up.

I sigh, listening to them arguing back and forth.
