"Goodmorning LA." Ryan said excitedly "32 hours ago he released his brand new single with songwriter Samantha Evans and today he is here in the studio." I turned up the volume and Ashton put down a mug of coffee infront of me. I chickened out, I wasn't ready to do this yet. I would have to get used to these things but not yet. Now I'm enjoying my happy days, which I don't want to spend completely stressed.
"Thank you for having me over again, I'm always happy to be here." Zedd said and I could hear the happy tone in his voice.
"First of all I want to say that I absolutely love the new single and we've been getting amazing reactions on it every time we play it."
"I'm so glad to hear that because this was the most fun song to produce and one of my favourite I released." Zedd replied. Ashton sat down beside me and we quietly listened to the radio.
"We keep wondering who reached out to who to make this record, did Samantha contact you or was it the other way around?" Ryan asked, I had no clue what would be discussed in the interview.
"I reached out to her. She's the rising songwriting in pop music at the moment and I love her way of writing. I had already contacted one songwriter and asking him for opinions or people he thought would work great with us too and he suggested to give Samantha a call. I had to wait two months before we could get to work but it was worth the wait." He said with a chuckle. "That first day she was so energetic, motivated and inspirated already, she dove right into the writing and I think we finished it within 9 days. When it was done, we had 8 artists try out to sing it but it didn't seem right. It took some convincing but the only way it seemed right was if she sang it."
"We love the final result and I think I speak for everyone here at KIIS fm that we are thrilled you convinced her to go in the recording booth. Are there any plans of a music video, alternative versions or live performances yet?"
"There's an accoustic version that will be released somewhere in September and we're talking about making a music video too but she's on a break untill mid October so that will take a little longer."
"Well we are definitely looking forward to that." He said with a big smile, "There have been rumours going around that you are planning a new tour soon?" Ryan asked and Zedd laughed in reply.
"It's not final yet but there are plans on the table to tour around again." He replied. "Once it's all final and planned, I'll let you know."
"Alright, we have to play some music and adverts again so we'll be back soon with more about the writing process. Do you want to announce the next song Zedd?"
"Ofcourse, the next song you will be hearing is this amazing song that I got to write and record with the talented Samantha Evans. I hope you will enjoy it, here is Starving." He announced while the first notes played.
I smiled as the song started playing and turned to Ashton.
"You're on the radio, again." He said with a smile but I shut him up by kissing him. I placed my hands around his neck and I could tell I took him by surprise because it took him a second to react. He put his arms around my waist and kissed me back passionately.
"I love you" I whispered as I broke the kiss, I let my forehead rest against his and we both kept our eyes closed, staying in the moment.
"I love you too."
"I'm sorry you didn't get what you expected. I'm not really the girl anymore that I was when we met" I whispered and he stayed silent for a second before looking at me.
"Sam" he said softly as he moved his hand to my cheeck, his touch was so soft and gentle. "I met a great girl at that concert in London. She was wonderfull, kind and honest. But the girl infront of me today is more than just great. As long as you're doing what makes you happy, I'm all in and will support you every step of the way. Even if that means dropping everything and touring around with you for a while when you will take over the world. I loved the girl I met but I love the woman I have now even more. You are perfect to me." He said as he looked at me with his kind eyes. I looked back at him and smiled a little. "Why are you suddenly saying this?"
