"Hey wait, isn't it that your surname is..." He thought for a moment. "Waeng?"

What? Waeng?

I laughed softly because of what he said. He even said it in a cute way.

"Why? Am I wrong?" He scratched his head.

I just gave him my usual look. Finally, I can plug in my earphones now and listen to a song.

Time has passed and it's already our dismissal time. As usual, Yeonjun and I walked together going home.

"Hey wait, isn't it that your surname is... Waeng?"

I can't help but laugh a bit by what he said. Where did he even get that information? It's Wang though, not Waeng.

Yeonjun suddenly glanced at me. "Nami? Did you just smile??"

My eyes widened as I realized what I just did.

"No, I did not!" I nervously said.

"Really?" He was confused. "Then, am I just seeing things?"

"Why would I even smile in the first place?" I stated.

"Yeah, right? Unless I tickle you."

"Try to tickle me or you'll die." I threatened him. I'm not kidding with what I said. I learned a bit of taekwondo when I was young. I'll really do it if needed.

"Hey, calm down! I'll definitely not do it." He laughed.

Right after our conversation ended, we already reached our place. Yeonjun waved me goodbye and so do I.

Before entering our house, I had a terrible feeling that I was right. When I opened the door, I saw my mom lying in the sofa. Plenty bottles of liquor were on the table.

Damn, she's drunk again.

I let out a heavy sigh. Why is she always like this? Why is she destroying her life after what happened?

She lied. She said she moved on.

I fixed all the mess and then cooked food.

Countless times, I've eaten alone. I'm already used to it. If only my mom would change for the better.
