Maya snuggled deeper into her leather jacket as she walked in the park. She was supposed to meet Riley at noon so they could go and have a day at the mall together. Seeing as she had an hour until then she thought she would take a nice walk in the fall weather.

She was slowly regretting that decision as the temperature continued to decrease over time. As Maya was passing through she couldn't help but notice all of the old spots she used to hang out at with her other 'friends'. If you could call them that. She remembered the smoking weed and the sneaking alcohol. Maya had older friends that she hung out with, although she would never participate in any of their activities, she still hung out with them.

She would sometimes tag along when they decided to vandalize someone's car or toilet paper their house. But when she started getting closer with Riley and the others she had started coming less and less to those little get togethers. Until one day she quit all together, and didnt have anymore contact with any of those kids again. She wouldn't even be able to tell you if they were still in New York or not.

Maya smiled and shook her head as she thought about how far she had come since then. How Riley had pulled her out of an extremely bad place. How she had vowed she would never go back to that place and how she almost broke that vow in their first year of high school.

As Maya walked by one of the usual stops, she couldn't help but stop as she noticed there were some people hanging around. She narrowed her eyes as she made out some familiar faces and then rolled them when she noticed the joint that they were passing around. As she continued to walk someone from the group looked up and widened their eyes at who it was.

"Maya Hart." Maya stopped walking and inwardly grown as she knew who that voice belonged to. She rolled her eyes and turned around to be met with two people that she used to know fondly.

"Kevin, Angie, nice to see that some things dont change." Maya said as she looked down at the joint that was in their hands. Kevin smiled as he took a long drag before handing it to Angie.

"It's  good to see you again. Here to made amends?" He asked her. Maya shook her head as she noticed that he was a bit on the high side.

"Do yourself a favor, Kev. Turn around, get a cab, and go home. All you're doing is killing yourself." Kevin laughed while Angie smirked and shook her head.

"Carla told us that you had gone soft." Angie stated. "We just couldn't believe it, the great Maya Hart, the one that so many of us looked up to." She stated. Maya shook her head.

"That was a lifetime ago. And my name is Hunter now, not Hart." Maya glared. Angie smiled as she took a step closer, too close. She lifted her finger up and brushed away some of Maya's hair letting her finger glide softly over her neck. She leaned in and whispered in her ear.

"You sure? I'm sure I could make it worth coming back." Maya shook her head as she gently shoved Angie out of her personal space causing the girl to playfully pout.

"Both of you are high. Go home." She told them glaring. Her eyes wondered over to police who were scouting the area. "And put that thing away before you get us all three in trouble." Angie stuck out her bottom lip before taking the joint and taking another long drag.

"Yes mommy." She smirked. Maya took a deep breath and shook her head as she wanted to turn around and leave them.

"Maya?" That voice was familiar too, but way too familiar. Maya turned around to see Josh's confused gaze on hers as his eyes traveled from her to the company she was currently keeping. Maya groaned as she turned back to Kevin and Angie.

"You're taken? What a shame." Angie commented. Maya ignored her comment as Josh came to stand beside her.

"Hey." He greeted as his gaze went to the joint that was in Angie's hand. "I thought you and Riley were hanging out today?" He asked. Maya nodded her head.
