Chapter 19 { Misunderstanding }

Luna P.O.V

I felt like crying, but thankfully I held my tears back. Opening the door expecting to see the worst, my eyes widened.

There is no woman here, only Asher on his office chair with an annoyed face, glaring at another man, who was sitting on one of the chairs in front of the office desk.

their gaze shifted towards me. Asher quickly stood up and walked up to me

" Luna! what a surprise I am so glad to see you here," he said as he put me in a sweet hug but I didn't hug back, he backed away watching me confused

" You alright? Are you sick or feeling unwell?" I opened my mouth to ask about what just happened now, but there was someone else here, I was too embarrassed to ask that in front of someone I don't even know.

" I-I came here to tell you my parents invited us over for dinner... that was it, I-I will leave now, sorry if I interrupted you, " I said as I tried to walk away, but he caught my wrist stopped me from leaving

" wait.. we will leave together, ok? Why won't you sit down here? I have some works left and we will leave, hmm?" I look at him and didn't say anything, I only nodded

What can I say? Saying no won't make anything less painful than it already is. And I just want to be somehow surer

" Luna, meet my Best friend and my right hand in the company Mason, Mason meet my beautiful fiancée Luna " I look over to Mason who stood up and walked towards us, I brought my right hand up offering a handshake

" it is a pleasure, Sir," I said, he took my hand, but kissed my knuckles instate.

" The pleasure is all mine," he said with a wink making me give him a small smile. But before I could say anything else, Asher took my hand away from Mason's hand as he stood in front of me.

" You may leave now," Asher said rather harshly, but I only heard Laughter from Mason

" ok, chill bro, I won't eat her, anyways! I will leave and do the tasks you asked me to do. again it was nice to meet you Luna, nice to see someone got my boss as no one else does. please beat him up anytime you had a chance because- OUCH " he was cut off by Asher stepping on one of his feet

Poor Mason.

" rude boss, BYE LUNA!!" He then run out make me laugh a bit, god! he seems like someone fun to be around

" don't listen to him, just sit down love, you want to drink something? "Asher's voice was all it took to bring my mood down to 0 degrees, i shook my head

I can't drink anything...

I walked away from him and sat down on one of the couches in his office, he was still standing there watching me confused

" You sure you are ok?" He asked once more

" I am, now please do your works so we can leave soon" I responded and he did as I said, walking over to his office chair, he sat down before starting working on his laptop and documents on his desk.

Maybe I am overreacting, maybe it is not what I think it is.

" Aish! I can't do this anymore, can I ask you a question?" He looked at me confused

" go ahead," he said

" Before I came in I heard a woman voice, but I see no one, what was that ?" I asked dying to know the answer

" women voice ? " he thought about it for a minute, killing me even more

" oh, you might talk about the movie Mason was watching?" He said and I facepalmed myself to think otherwise, of course, there must have been something like that. I mean if there was a woman, where will she escape to? throw herself out of the window or something?
