After unpacking all the coolers and bags from both of the trucks, all of us decided to go to the boardwalk.
"So you guys just come here whenever?" Amy questions as we slip on our shoes
"Yep, this place has been in my dad's family since my grandparents were little." I smile at her.
"And this is a private beach so we can do whatever, the only other people on this beach are two miles the opposite way" Arrex grins "And then the boardwalk, of course, is the other way"
The thing I love about living in Texas was it's literally always warm, especially in South Texas. Average temperatures for this time a year here were in the eighties. In Chicago around this time, temps were at most high fifties, But even that was a stretch. You weren't able to just go to the beach in the middle of October.
This was my favorite place in the whole world.
"Hey Belle wanna go on the ferris wheel?" Jordan smirks
"I hate you" I roll my eyes at my best friend "I will never in my life go on a ferris wheel"
"Let alone with any of you assholes" Em laughs
"Wait why?" Amy questions looking at all of us
"Well how old were we?" I ask Caleb and Jordan
"We were thirteen you were twelve" Jordan says
"Well yeah, so they got me to go on the ferris wheel, but with this ferris wheel it's just the car, there aren't any tall walls and im terrified of heights as is" I start to tell her, a grin slowly growing in her face
"She didn't trust any of us" Beck says, motioning to himself, Arrex and Ace "So she went with Caleb and Jordan"
"In what world would that be a good idea?" Amy questions me
"I know, stupid" I groan "Well they rocked the cart nonstop and for some reason I stood up to push them down back onto the seat but I lost
my balance and almost fell out" I finish the story making her laugh. Caleb just scoffs and rolls his eyes.
"You're being dramatic, you didn't almost fall out, I was holding you the whole time" he rolls his eyes with a grin "You wouldn't let go of me either"
"Shut up Kazer, I was scared"
"It was so funny" Jordan laughs
"I hate both of you" I pout, shrugging Jordans arm off my shoulder
"Oh you know I love you bellaboo" Jordan says as he comes up behind me,wrapping me up in a bear hug. "I'll even give you a piggy back ride to prove it"
"Fine" I sigh dramatically as I hop on his back
"You're lucky you're my best friend" he grumbles
Just chuckles before flicking his forehead
"Excise me bitch, you're lucky to be my best friend"
"Okay well we are stealing her" Em says pulling me off of Jordans back "We'll meet you guys later, back at the house"
"Bye girls" The guys bid goodbye as we run off
"Okay so what are we doing?" Amy asks
A grin takes over her face as we continue to follow her further into the boardwalk crowd.
"Wanna go to the carnival"
"Yes!"

"Belle thats the eighth toy you've won on this game alone" Amy says as I hit another of the plush clowns with a softball.
"She's freakishly good at these games. Those clowns are impossible to knock down" Em rolls her eyes
"No they are you just have to be accurate" I say before hitting another clown "and throw hard"
The guy working the booth hands me a Luigi toy before we walk off.
