Cara's P.O.V.

Since Hannah was going to be gone for most of the day, I decided to spend my time writing my story.  I felt like I was going out a lot more lately, so it was good to spend time at home again. Old me would love this so much. An empty apartment with just myself. Now, I felt a nagging discomfort like I couldn't wait until Hannah came back. I just couldn't describe why I felt like that.  Ever since I admitted my feelings for Hannah, it was like my mind has had a bunch of new ideas for my story.

Kim didn't know why she allowed her friends to drag her to their friend Kate's fashion after show party. All Kim wanted to do right now was snuggle under the covers of her bed and watch episodes of Rizzoli and Isles.  She was a simple girl and that's all she wanted. Her friends had a different idea.

They wanted her to go beyond her comfort zone and mingle more. Scriptwriters had to be able to do that. They can't just sit in their house and not interact without the outside world.

It would be better if her friends didn't leave her alone. Their presence would make talking to people easier. Sadly they all went their separate ways after meeting Kate. Her anxiety was slowly rising and she had to find a quiet place.

Her eyes caught sight of the glass doors that led to the patio and she made a beeline towards it. Once there she shut the door behind her

"Ugh, why am I so awkward?" Kim called out to the night sky as she leaned against the railings that were probably put in place to keep people from plunging down the canyon.

As Kim turned her head, she caught sight of a woman who was seated in the corner of the patio. A glimmer of recognition appeared on her mind.  The woman was one of the models that walked for Kate's show earlier. She had a face that was meant to be on the cover of magazines. Her sapphire eyes sparkled under the moonlight. The black sequined bodycon dress helped her blend in with the night.

Kim turned completely red from embarrassment as the other woman stared back at her with wide eyes.

"Uh...I was hoping you didn't hear that?" Kim muttered

"Hear what?" The woman answered with a grin.

"Greaaaat....I'm just gonna leave." Kim glanced at the rail. She could just simply fling herself over it to escape the embarrassment she felt. She wasn't that insane, so she decided to head for the door.

"No!" The woman held her hand out to stop Kim from leaving. "You don't have to. I wouldn't mind the company."

"Kind of embarrassed myself." Kim couldn't bring herself to look at the other woman as she rubbed the back of her neck.

"Remember, I didn't hear anything," The other woman said with a grin.

"That is correct," Kim with a small smile. She slowly walked toward the woman and took a seat next to her. "I'm Kim by the way."

"Lena. So Kim, what brings you out here?" The blonde woman questioned.

"Not much of a party person," Kim answered,  air quoting the party part. "How about you? Shouldn't you be back there hanging out with your fellow models, celebrating a great show?"

"I actually moved here recently and I don't know the other models that well," Lena stated. "Plus I'm trying to avoid this creepy guy inside who won't take no for an answer."

"Being alone in this dimly lit patio is not really a safe place to hide." Kim Looked around the patio. It was sectioned off from the rest of the backyard with just a grey sectional in the corner and an ottoman in the middle.
