According to statistics, sexual contact becomes less frequent as the years go by. However, it is not only age that influences this.

The intensity of your sex life can depend on the amount of time you have been together. Many studies show that the longer partners are in a relationship, the less frequently they have sex.

The number of intimate contacts is affected by a couple's experiences, such as pregnancy, which often results in lower libido; taking care of children, which is very energy-consuming; to much work; and lack of time for private life.

However, please remember that each couple is different. So, the norm varies and corresponds with the amount of sex that satisfies both partners.

If the couple's libidos do not coincide, the solution is to discuss it with each other and find a compromise, or seek help from an experienced sexologist.
