This isn't my writing. It's a little thing I found, and decided to put here.

The Rogue Avengers came back to the compound.

Everything is back to normal.

Well, normal is relative.

They're a team again.

Tony is his usual snarky, sarcastic self. A little more distant, a little colder because things are still tense around the compound.

Everyone remembers the things they said and did to each other during the war, and Tony might be a little afraid to let himself get close to them again, afraid to let himself trust them again, even if he never stopped caring about them.

And then Peter Parker shows up.

He calls Tony 'dad’, and 'old man’, and he snarks back at Tony, and teases him when he messes up, and isn't afraid to call Tony out on his crap, but he also gives him hugs and smiles, and looks at Tony like he hung the moon. He looks up to Tony so much, and seems to think of him as a father figure.

Tony just takes it in his stride, calls Peter 'kid’ and 'Pete’ and just smiles when Peter goes on long-winded rants that would probably annoy Tony if it was anyone else, and he just scoffs, and rolls his eyes when Peter snarks at him, or calls him old.

He ruffles the kid's hair, and puts his arm around his shoulders, and doesn't flinch when Peter hugs him, and Tony looks at Peter like Peter is the world to him, like the sun rises and sets around Peter, and they can tell that Tony cares about Peter so much because Tony turns into a completely different person when Peter's around.

And he doesn't drink anymore. Because of Peter.

And all the Rogues are just so confused, because who is this kid? Tony has a kid? And they never knew?

Tony still flinches when anyone other than Rhodey and Pepper touch him, and he still doesn't like to be handed things, but Peter seems to melt back all of those masks, and cold exteriors.

All of them are so confused, but at the same time, Clint and Scott get it, because they have kids, and they recognize that look in Tony's eyes, and they know that Tony would do anything, would literally die and kill to keep this kid safe, and they start to respect Tony a bit more because they know that DAD feeling, and they know that when it comes to the kid, Tony would do literally anything to keep him safe.
