That day they had kissed El had walked home daydreaming about the kiss and Max and smiled widely the whole time. When she got home and walked in the door Hopper looked at her with a surprised look "what are you so happy about?" El went on her tippy toes and looked up at the ceiling "life" she said closing her eyes. Hopper gave a weird glance "uhmmm okaaaay you do you kiddo".
When she got in her room she kicked off her boots, lay on her bed and took out her phone.
She texted Will;
•El: GUESS WHAT!
•Will: WHAT!?
•El: I kissed a girl and I liked itttt!
•Will: I knew Max was gay for you! Wait-
It was Max right!?
•El: yess :)))
•Will: happy for ya girl
•Will: so is she your girlfriend now!?
•El: idk I'm pretty sure!
Then El explained to him what happened and they texted for a while until..
Max texted El!!;

El freaked out when she saw the message and went into it;
•El: hey Maxie👋
•Max: I love you💛
El screamed when she read the message, Hopper came running in "are you okay!?" he exclaimed looking worried "I'm much more than okay!! I'm ecstatic!!" she explained smiling with her teeth. Hopper rolled his eyes playfully "oooh" he backed out of the room and closed the door. El looked at the message again, nearly cried with joy and replied shaking;
•El: I love you too babe💛
El panicked.
•El: it's okay if I call you that right?
•Max: yes ofc! I love it 💕
Their conversation turned into a Billie Eilish conversation and then a F•R•I•E•N•D•S (the tv show) conversation and their interests spurted into different ones all night..
