My shift was over but the manager asked—more like commanded—me to extend my shift since the person who's supposed to be here right now told her that she's going to be late, but it has already been an hour and she's still not here. I sighed.

"Parang ang laki naman ng problema mo. Di ka ba masaya na may overtime pay ka?" Naya asked me as she munch something. Siya kasi ang kasama sa shift ngayon. Wala namang masiyadong customer ngayon dahil hapon na kaya kahit naman wala ako dito for sure kaya na ni Naya.

Pero ewan ko ba. Gustong gusto yata nila na pinapahirapan ako dahil lang nakita nila sa mukha ko na ayaw kong mag extend.

"I really have somewhere I need to be." I looked at my watch again. Isang oras na din akong late sa usapan namin n Trei. Ang alam kasi namin, sabay matatapos ang shift namin pareho. Di ko naman expected na may overtime na magaganap. I don't even know if he's still at the parking lot secretly waiting for me. May sarili siyang parking space dito at sobrang lawak na akala mo sampo na kotse ang bibit niya palagi.

I noticed Naya looking around before he leaned over to me. My brows ceased as she's acting weird. "Nakita kitang bumaba sa kotse ni Dr Zouwen kahapon bago ang shift mo."

"W-what?" Her eyes intently looking at me. Naya is not actually my best friend but I can say that we're friends, but even though she's the closest person to me at work hindi ko sa kanya sinasabi ang relationship namin ni Trei.

The look on my face must've confirmed what she had in mind because she started to look amused.

"Kung hindi ka relative—and I highly doubt it—ikaw ang girlfriend or should I say... asawa ni Doc?" My eyes widened at what she said. My throat suddenly felt dry but she just rolled her eyes at me. "I heard he's married. I saw you hoping out of his car. I saw your engagement ring. I saw both your wedding ring na sobrang identical."

Napahawak ako sa singsing na na nakasabit sa leeg ko. Shit. Bakit ngayon ko lang naisip? When Trei asked me to always bring with me the ring hindi ko naisip na palagi niya din soot ang wedding ring niya.

"Are you spying on us para malaman kung sino ang may mabubuting ugali na dapat mag stay sa bahay ni kuya?" Mas lalong kumunot ang noo ko pero nanlaki lang ang mga mata niya. "Hoy mabait ako sayo ah! Wag mo akong i-evict!"

I was about to roll my eyes when somebody entered the cafe. Tinignan ako ni Naya na parang sinasabi niya na hindi pa siya tapos sa akin. Agad kaming tumayo ng maayos nang makita si Segunda na pumasok ng cafe.

"Shit." I muttered under my breath. I heard nag hysterical din siya sa isa pang katrabaho namin dito na muntik na niyang masampal.

Sana naman wag siya sa akin pumunta. Sana kay Naya na lang. Please Lord, please.

But my prayer wasn't answered because Segunda is walking at my direction with her chin up like everyone's supposed to bow when they see her. I plastered a big smile on my face.

"Good afternoon, maam. What's your order?"

"You again?" She looked at me. Hindi ko inalis ang ngiti sa labi ko habang hinihintay siya na magsabi ng order. Bwiset talaga. Dapat hindi na ako nag overtime.

"What can I do for you, maam?"

"You can start by serving me. Titignan ko kung tatanga tanga ka pa rin." Nakataas ang isang kilay na sabi niya. My smile almost faded especially when I saw people looking my way. Napapahiya na ako. Alam ko. But this is my job. Agad kong inayos ang mga ngiti ko at tumango. She told me her orders and gave me a card. I took it and returned it after swiping.
