Days were passing rapidly, seconds turned minutes ,turned into hours ,turned into days ,turned into weeks, turned into three months. And still nothing from her husband.

Raven was scared, aggravated, worn out.

What if he had moved on and had a new family in the works? What if her coming to terms was all a waste of time?

Sitting on the couch her children lay peacefully in the playpen before her as she relaxed on the chair next to a healed David.

She had voiced her apology to him everyday for three weeks until he became annoyed with her blaming herself. It was that deranged Stephen that had stabbed him eight times and left him for dead.

Just minutes into their third movie Raven could hear keys jingling at the front of the house while David snores lightly on the couch. Grabbing her pepper spray she made her way into the corridor to check on the sound.

Behind the door stood a darker complexioned version of the love of her life. The sun had darkened his skin tone and he had gained more muscle than he had last time she saw him. She was afraid to move.

Feet stuck to the ground just a few feet away from the man she thought she knew everything about but only knew enough to marry him carelessly.

"Hey baby."

Raven was tired of crying. It wasn't the emotion from the factory of hormones running through her body. Well maybe it was. Just a little.

"Stop crying princess. I'm home now and better. I checked myself into a rehab center and got some help, some that actually worked."

As much as she wanted to believe him she couldn't. He would have to prove it to her.

Stephen took small, slow, staggered steps towards the women he loved so much. And took her into his large arms. Engulfing her small body and kissing her forehead lightly.

He missed the way she smelled, her laugh, her smile, her, her everything. And he couldn't wait to get his hands on his children he knew he had missed so much but he wouldn't be missing anything from this point on. They were his world.

"Baby I'm sorry, for everything. Stabbing David... how is he?"

"He's fine." Sorrow tinted her voice as she spoke quickly regarding her friend.

"I'm sorry for cheating, and leaving you alone, I'm sorry for beating you after giving you permission to sleep with him, I'm sorry for everything I've ever done to you. Just please forgive me. Let me start over."

She nodded. He didn't need to apologize she had already made her decision.

"You didn't have to apologize. I should be apologizing. You were right. I'm yours and I stepped out of boundaries. Disobeying you, cheating, not staying in my place. It won't happen again."

He shook his head. He was loosing her because of his mistakes.

"Baby I don't want you to change anything. I don't own you, you're not property. Your my wife, you have feelings, you have a say so. Just let me know stuff."

She shook her head. There was no way she was changing her mind and going through the trauma he had already caused her once. Again.

He hugged her tighter holding her as close as possible not wanting to ever let her go. But as soon as he did things took a horrible turn. He then realized that Raven was gone.

She dropped her shorts before removing her tank top and sat on the decor table just left of the door pulling him close. She allowed him to touch her and explore her body. Something he hadn't done in a little over nine months.
