Micah Bell X Younger Timid/Shy Female Reader

Summary: your shyness had amused Micah at first but recently he had been growing fond of it.

Word Count: 3140

Your age had never been anything that bothered Micah. You were an adult, a young woman so it wasn't anyone's business whether he was attracted to you or not. As soon as you joined the gang, Micah started flirting with you but it meant nothing to either of you. Micah flirted with all the women in camp like he thought it was some amusing game and you knew this so you ignored him. Well, you didn't ignore him but you felt a little bad for him. You couldn't quite explain why but you just thought it was sad to watch him doing his version of flirting around the camp and constantly getting rejected. What confused you as that he knew he was going to get rejected by every women in camp, you figured that it just liked annoying people.

You had always been a little timid so Micah had made you pretty uncomfortable when you first met him. He came on really strong with his flirting and inappropriate comments, it wasn't what he was saying that made you uncomfortable, you just didn't know how to react to him. Micah seemed to find this amusing so he continued to act in such away.

Micah had flirted with you the first time because he knew it annoyed the other women so he assumed it would annoy you, and if by some miracle you did fall for his words he would definitely not be opposed to acting on his suggestions. He liked your reaction to his advances. The other women in came either threatened him or just ignored him, you tried to speak to him but his words always made you turn red and get too flustered to speak properly. It amused him.

Micah sat alone at one of the tables towards the edge of the camp with a beer in his hand, an oil lamp sitting in the centre of the table to illuminate the small area as it was getting dark. You were just walking past, not really paying attention to the man sitting at the table.

"Miss L/N!" Micah called when he saw you walking past the table. You paused before turning to face the man, as much as he tried to annoy you, you always gave him the time of day and a chance to talk. "Come sit, have a drink with me" he offered with a dangerous smirk on his face.

"No thank you, Mr Bell" you smiled politely but shook your head as you turned down his offer. He didn't seem surprised or affected by your rejection, he just smirked harder.

"Ah, just call me Micah. I much prefer the way it sounds falling from your lips" he insisted, leaning forward on the table as if he was leaning towards you.

"Oh, okay...Micah. I-I'll see you later, I suppose" you stuttered slightly as your cheeks heated up. Micah always made you blush. It wasn't because he was charming, it was because he was so forward and there was always a hint of inappropriateness or threat behind his words.

"Come on, Y/N. One drink, I promise I'll make it worth your while" Micah winked, amusing himself by making your face turn a more intense shade of pink. You didn't respond this time. You just smiled politely before walking away from him, hearing Micah laughing to himself as he watched you leave.

-----

Micah had been amused by your shyness since day one, he loved teasing you and seeing your face turn red but recently he had been thinking about it more often. He was actually beginning to find your shyness and timidness endearing. He thought that it would seem stupid if he ever vocalised it but it gave him some sort of natural need and desire to protect you and keep you safe. He found himself getting defensive and protective over you at the smallest thing.
