Chapter 2: Jealousy?

Azami Pov

As the week went by me and (y/n) became closer and closer

I'm normally carefree and careless but I feel like something is up..... I don't know what it is but I get a bad feeling when Amaya is around.... it's probably all just in my head.

"Hey Azami! You didn't have to wait for me, If you keep on doing that I'm gonna end up making you late as well" (y/n) said coming up behind me

We walk to school together everyday, it's no secret that ever since I started walking with her I was later to school than usual but that doesn't bother me.

"Hey... Azami? D-do you think that maybe someone's watching us?" (Y/n) asked which made me really suspicious 

So I wasn't the one who thought that....

(Y/n) pov

When we got to class (idk what highschool is like) I starting scrolling through instagram when a girl with auburn hair and brown eyes so dark it looked like black and you couldn't tell where her pupil was

"Hey! You're (y/n) right? I thought I'd get to know you since Amaya is so obsessed with y-" she got cut off mid sentence when she was elbowed in the stomach

"Shut up Eika...." Amaya said now beside her in a dark tone. The girl, Eika, gulped then nervously smiled

"Sorry for stealing your girl~" she said then hastily skipped away semi casually as if she knew Amaya was gonna chase her but didn't want to cause to much attenton by running

"Sorry about her, she just lies. I don't like you. Well, I do but like not that way, you know what I mean?" She said looking where Eika left as if calculating wether to chase her or not

I laughed and said jokingly

"Just make sure not to kill her later" 

She smiled sweetly and started up a conversation with me

After 10 minutes she asked me a question I wasn't expecting since it was total off subject to what we where talking about

"What do you think of me?" 

"Nani?" I couldn't help but say, wondering why she asked that

"What do you think of me?" She said again as if I didn't hear the first time

"Well, you seem nice, like a person I would like to get to know better."

"And that's not just because I'm popular?"

"No. That has nothing to do with it" after I said that she looked satisfied with that answer

"No one.... no one has ever said that before... they all just like me because of my place and hope to get popularity and riches in return for my friendship, well, everyone except Chiyo, Eika and you" she said in a softer and vulnerable voice than before

I didn't know how to reply since I'm not good with touchy-feely convos so I just smiled sweetly at her 

She looked back up from the floor and we locked eyes. I never realised how beautiful her grey eyes where, the colour was dull and liflesss but they held so much emotion. 

"Well what did I say, Amaya is obsessed with you" a voice cuts off the moment me and Amaya where having and I didn't even realising I was staring so I looked away and blushed. Amaya growled at he voice and said

"Eika, shut up!"

"Sure, sure, whatever ya want Queen~" and went back to her des while Chiyo was snickering
