"Tom will you stop fussing with your hair and get out of the bloody bathroom?! We're going to be late!" Melody yelled from the living room of Tom's house. After the amount of time she spent in Tom's place, Melody did start to wonder why she hadn't just moved in with him. She was there so often, it made sense. Perhaps it would be something she could discuss with Tom at another time.
When she heard movement from upstairs, Melody threw her coat on and picked up her handbag and the keys to Tom's Jag, it was a good job the two of them were staying the night in a hotel nearby. When the movement stopped again, Melody sighed and glanced at the clock. Suddenly she thought of something that would make him pick up the pace.
"Thomas William Hiddleston, if you don't get your arse down here in the next five seconds, I'm driving the Jag to the party and leaving you here!" She smirked as the sudden sound of heavy footsteps began to pound down the stairs in a hurry.
"No one drives my baby but me" Tom snapped playfully as he flung his coat over his shoulder and grabbed the car keys out her hand. Melody grabbed their suitcase and rolled it down the path while Tom locked up the front door then met her at the boot of the car to help put their things in the back. Tom then opened the passenger door to allow Melody to get inside and jogged around to get in the car himself before heading off to check them into the hotel and briskly walk to Sarah's rented house for the party.
After a firm knock on the door, the couple were met at the door by a very smiley Sarah. Unlike Tom's younger sister Emma, Sarah shared Tom's height so towered over Melody's 5'1" body easily. Her green/blue eyes sparkled at the sight of her little brother standing at the door and she pulled him into her arms tightly for a firm hug.
"Tommy! I can't believe you're here! And this must be Melody. It's lovely to see you again!" from the slurring of her words, Melody could already tell that Sarah was having a good time and had started to get rather tipsy. She didn't blame her though, it was her birthday after all.
"Happy Birthday Sarah! It's good to see you too, It's been a while." Melody replied glancing over at Tom as she did so, inferring it was his fault that they hadn't seen each other for a while. Tom nodded his head and took the blame for that one.
"So how does it feel being an old lady now?" Tom joked with his sister and she led them inside and into the back garden where the party was in full swing. Melody internally thanked herself for not going all out on the clothes side of things that night, thankful she was only wearing her red camis top with her black floral kimono on top and dark denim jeans on her legs.
"Don't even joke Tommy! Anyway you aren't far off becoming an old man" Sarah poked Tom in the chest. The closeness between the two siblings despite how little they saw each other was wonderful to witness. Melody was only jealous of this as she had only had her mother while she was growing up. her mother meant everything to her, but she couldn't quite fill the position of the sibling. "Anyway, what can I get you two to drink? You need to catch up with everyone else!" Sarah added as she noticed the two empty handed with no alcohol on their persons whatsoever.
"I'll have a Jameson on the rocks and Mel will have a Malibu and coke, It's always been her favourite so keep them coming" Tom said glancing over at Melody, remembering all the drunken nights they'd hared at RADA, Malibu being the reason for the drunken Melody. He winked at her when she realised what he was trying to do. Sarah nodded and went to get their orders in, while she did this, Melody pulled Tom to the side and pulled him close to her.
