❇Chapter 27❇

Your eyes averted from the TV and over to the window. You watched the waves gently crash onto the beach. You looked over to where Dahyun had fallen asleep, he blanket was halfway off and her head was at an awkward angle. 

You pulled her blanket up over her, and then gently lifted her head and placed a pillow underneath. Satisfied she wouldn't wake up with a neck cramp you kissed her head and then grabbed your jacket.

You walked out onto the sand, it seeping between your toes calming you. You breathed a deep sigh and walked closer to the water. You got to where you could sit but the water would still reach your toes. 

It was warm and felt relaxing everytime the salty water would reach up and peek over your toes. You looked up at the full moon that was cascading a light down and making it appear as if the ocean was glowing.

You didn't know when but you had started crying. You placed your head on your knees and let the salty tears flow down your cheeks. You didn't even know why you were crying, you were calm, and relaxed. 

Thoughts of the dark headed male were lingering in the back of your mind however, and you knew there was no way to get rid of them.

"DAHYUN!"

You chased her around the car for what seemed like the tenth time that morning as she had tossed your luggage to the side refusing to put it in the car herself. 

"CHILD!"

"AM NOT!"

"ARE TO!"

Sticking her tongue out at you she opened the driver's side door and got in the car locking it.

"you little-"

Huffing you gave up and told her you would do it yourself. Grinning innocently she unlocked the car allowing you to open the trunk. You placed your luggage on top of her's and then walked around to the passenger side. 

"I love and hate you"

"I know, I love you too"

You had been on the road for about 2 hours, which meant you had about another hour to go. You looked out the window as you passed by the final palm tree and waved goodbye. You were going to miss Jinhwa, you had only known her for a day but you grew quite fond of her, Dahyun seemed to as well. 

"Dahyun"

"hmm"

"Do you think we'll see Jinhwa again, and Sanha"

Dahyun thought for a moment before a smile graced her lips.

"It's only three hours, and besides I've already been talking to my mom about Sanha"

She bit her lip trailing off and you looked at her startled. 

"Wait really?"

"Yeah"

She smiled wider at the thought of the boy and you couldn't help but grin. The kid deserved a home and you were thankful someone as precious as Dahyun was willing to let him in. 

"That's amazing Dahyunnie"

She blushed and smiled proudly keeping her eyes on the road.

Pulling your luggage up the stairs to your room you huffed at the fact that Dahyun had left. She wanted to talk to her mom soon about Sanah so you understood why she had to go. 

Finally getting to your room you tossed the luggage to the side and flopped down onto your bed instantly grabbing Binnie and cuddling him close. Still your arms felt empty without him there. Not that he was yours anyway. 

Getting up you decided you didn't just want to mellow in your bedroom and that you were seriously craving some pizza. 

You ordered some pizza using doordash and then headed downstairs. 

A clap of thunder was enough to make you let out a small squeal in surprise. 

"why? just why?"

Cherry purred in response and took a bite of her food in her bowl. 

Walking over to the TV you turned on some music and shuffled BTS

"Dashi run run run"

You tried to drown out the noise of rain and thunder with the music, but you couldn't turn it up too loud because, neighbors.

Hearing the doorbell ring you skipped over to the door and opened it instantly paying the guy at the door and taking your pizza not wanting to let rain in. You placed the pizza on the coffee table and switched the TV to Flash. 

Cherry hopped up on the couch next to you and stole a pepperoni, instead of being mad though, you just cooed, because god she was the cutest thing. 

"BARRY!"

You yelled at the TV before realizing you literally just. Yelled. At. A. TV. 

You sat back against the couch huffing as you watched a dash of red light flash across the screen signaling it was the beginning of the episode. 

You had gotten through half the pizza and about two episodes almost completely forgetting about the storm outside. Almost.

Hearing keys jingle at the door you sat up straight. You thought it might be your mom, but that didn't make any sense cause your mom wouldn't be back until the morning.

You heard the door open and footsteps walk in. You panicked and grabbed the remote from beside you, as if you could use it as a weapon. 

You walked over to the hallway and rounded the corner. The remote fell to the floor as you could only stare at him in front of you.
