I'm quite sure you have already heard of the quote, "Time flies by so fast." And honestly speaking, I'm feeling the complete opposite right now.
"Does it feel better now?" I questioned as I watched Izaya slowly move his now unbandaged arm. "And please don't apply too much force on your limbs. I wouldn't want to have to treat you again."
"Oh, that actually sounds like a great idea." Izaya sent me a taunting smirk full of mischievous intent, swinging his right arm as if to mock me. "You should learn better than to give me those ideas, (Y/N)-chan."
"I believe you wouldn't want to stay immobile for another two months, especially if I leave you alone with Reira." I pointed out, placing a hand over his arm in motion for him to stop his childish actions. "And I'm sure Reira would agree."
"I more than agree." Reira replied in a calm voice, contradicting the glare being sent towards the raven haired twenty-four-year-old male. "In fact, I would rather drop him elsewhere already since he can basically move already."
"You're making my heart sting, Reira-kun~." Izaya placed a hand over his chest, clutching where his heart is. If I knew this guy better, I would tell that he's feigning hurt, especially with the childish tone lacing his downy voice. "And I have to point out that I still haven't payed you and (Y/N)-chan for your services."
It didn't even take him three minutes to shift back to his deep smooth voice. I knew he was playing games while using his high-pitched immature tone.
I watched Reira's bottom lip slowly stuck up like a small pout, though hardly noticeable, as he left the room in silence. I then turned my head to Izaya whose smirk widened from triumph after seeing the brunette veterinarian walk out. The raven haired informant turned to my direction before sending me a small grin, complimenting his handsome features.
"I don't appreciate your every single effort to push Reira's buttons." I remarked, kneeling in front of him to inspect his leg. "I think it would be better if you stay out of this leg for a few more days."
"If that's what nurse (Y/N)-chan says, I'll gladly follow." The pale raven head chuckled as I stood up from my position sending him a frown in disapproval for assuming my profession when he knows well I work as an underground doctor. He sent me a small smile to which I believed to be an act of apology –though I can't be quite sure. "Although, I have to admit that my stay in your humble home is quite a bore, especially when you keep leaving me alone with Reira-kun."
"I don't know if I should be flattered or not." I replied, proceeding to grab a few things from my room before coming back with a children's activity book, a pencil and crayons. "I'm going to be out with Reira for a few hours. Keep yourself busy by filling up that activity book."
"Do you happen to take me for a five-year-old?" His eyebrow barely noticeably twitched as he stared at the objects on the desk of the bedroom.
"You are rather as annoying as a child." I responded bluntly. "Just fill that up. I have to tell you that, that's for the sake of rehabilitating your arm."
"So, I'm supposed to use both arms?" He raised an eyebrow in question.
"Change hands halfway." I stated with a sigh, walking towards the door to exit the room. I did always find it tiresome to keep a decent conversation with a man like Izaya. "I'll take my leave, Izaya. If an emergency occurs, you can dial either me or Reira with the phone I left on the living room table."
"Thanks for the tip." Izaya said lastly as I closed the bedroom door behind me.
Upon exiting the room, I found Reira leaning his back on the wall, seemingly eavesdropping with my earlier conversation with Izaya.
